If I am not mistaken Nick and Kirby have the exact same agent: Jimmy Sexton. My thought is Jimmy and Kirby have taken Nick's thoughts heavily into consideration to what occurred before, during, and what will occur now that Kirby has actually taken the job. I don't think anyone should believe Jimmy wouldn't have thought this through as he negotiated on behalf of Kirby with Georgia.....OR Nick might be re-evaluating that relationship very quickly...IMHO

first and foremost, jimmy sexton's duty is to do what's best for his client in this situation, kirby smart. if he's taking into account nick saban's wishes, that presents a conflict of interests and would be, legally, unethical of him as kirby smart's agent.

Agreed. Kirby isn't going to stick around at Bama if Georgia doesn't want him to. It's too big a position. Plus, I'm not sure it would work anyway.

Even if Kirby had the best of intentions to focus on Alabama, you cannot tell me he would not be seriously distracted preparing for the GA job. Combine that with the awkwardness of recruiting and it seems like a lose/lose for him to stay.

And you have Nick freaking Saban as HC --- defense will be fine.

Can't believe no one remembers that this is the exact same scenario that presented itself the last time UGa hired an HC.

"Without All-American receiver Snoop Minnis, suspended for failing grades, and offensive coordinator Mark Richt perhaps preoccupied with his new job as Georgia's coach, Florida State generated just 301 total yards -- 248 under its average."

If I'm Saban, I tell Kirby good luck and Godspeed. I'm sure the Tide doesn't need the distraction.

Here you are stupid frick.

I can find plenty where saban decided late at night and left miami late at night to arrive early in the morning to avoid having to face anyone.

“I think the biggest thing was probably not handling the way I left very well,” Saban said on the show, via AL.com. “That’s always been a thing with me that I’ve never felt good about it.

Yes. He finished the season. Then said for about the 3rd time he was not leaving. He then met with Mal and left with no notice. In fact he told the Fins owner that he was staying hours before meeting with Mal and deciding to leave. Additionally, he left after staying up late and before dawn.

Dipshits acting like he wrapped things up and left miami in an honorable way are idiots and saban would say they are stupid for saying that as well. He admits he fricked the Fins over the way he left and has even said so.

My guess is that Georgia offered Smart the job as long as he took it immediately and starting ASAP.
Georgia knows he wants this job, so they have the upper hand.

Saban insisted in finishing out in Miami? He left in the middle of the night immediately and announced he was leaving and taking the bama job after he left town.
Yeah, he shot out of Miami and let the next guy worry about recruiting for Miami.

You are the idiot. Saban left immediately and late at night the day he made the decision. He didn't wrap up anything, meet with the players, other coaches, etc.

Saban flew from Miami to Tuscaloosa in the middle of the day. There was a huge crowd to greet him and he did this AFTER the season was over. You know nothing.

Tom Herman had a very good breakdown of how he did it last year. I have no worries about Kirby staying for playoff.

He finished the season and told the owner he would stay and finish his commitment. The owner told him to go with his heart. He made some mistakes (I am not going to bama) but the whole thing that we have been discussing is timing / finishing the season.

I was coming to post this. He was flying back and forth from the bowl prep to Houston I want to say every two days or so

It's not bad press to be holding a trophy at the end of the season with the new hat on. Herman has multiple pics in an OSU shirt, UH hat and giving the cougar symbol.

However, as stated before, Houston isn't UGA, where UGA wants to win titles tomorrow

Yeah, these are just absolute lies, for what it's worth.

Miami owner Wayne Huizenga was informed of the decision in a meeting Wednesday at Saban's house. Huizenga announced thedeparture at a news conference Saban didn't attend.

"It is what it is," Huizenga said, borrowing Saban's pet phrase. "I'm not upset, because it's more involved than what you think."

They met briefly on Tuesday, when Saban asked for another day to consider
Alabama's offer. The coach was emotional when he called the Dolphins' complex Wednesday morning and informed his coaching staff by speakerphone that he was leaving, said Dom Capers, special assistant to the head coach.
