You have to put this in perspective. Everyone knew Herschel was getting the ball 30 times a game and Defenses still couldn’t stop him. He played hurt and didn’t run out of bounds like another guy I won’t name. Look at Herschel’s credentials:
Never lost an SEC game
3 time SEC Champion
National Champion
Heisman winner (arguably should have won it twice)
Made the team around him better
I have no issues saying that Herschel is the greatest SEC player of all time. Greatest CFB ever? Debatable.

I watched the game .. disappointed..soft ..trust me...gave up too easily
Congrats. Lots of us watched the game.
Every game, Herschel is the target by everyone on defense. It was the same in the NFL.
I can agree to disagree. I've blasted Steve spurrier for putting Lattimore through less abuse.

Barry Sanders was the best college player ever (at least for a single season) and there isn't a close second.
2,850 rushing yards
3,500 total yards
44 touchdowns
In TWELVE frickING GAMES

Lord, not this shite again.
For Tennessee it’s Peyton Manning
For Ole Miss is Archie
For Mississippi State it’s Dak Prescott
Cor Aggy Johnny football
LSU it’s JJ. (
)
Florida is Tim Tebow
We could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on!

If you wanna know the truth, it’s Bo Jackson by 10 miles.

Though disputed about the accuracy, that 40 time has still never been touched.

During the 1986 combine at the Superdome in New Orleans, Auburn running back Bo Jackson recorded a 4.12-second 40, a feat so extraordinary it's become part of Jackson's legend, a subject for conjecture, speculation and comparison, so much so that current combine stories qualify references to the 4.12 with words such as "reportedly," attribute the time to "rumor," or describe it as an "urban legend."

It's probably Cam. That Auburn team would've struggled to finish with a winning record with an average QB. He scored 50 TDs and they went undefeated and won a NC. Just insane.

frick UGA, but Herschel was the best I ever saw.

quote:No, but he is the best RB in SEC history, and that isn’t even close.
Herschel Walker isn't even the greatest CFB running back ever, much less overall player.

Deshaun Watson needs a mention.

I vote for Fran Tarkenton, or Kenny “the Snake” Stabler as a close second.
