If your 2022 defense had all been open in the portal, there were probably only 1-2 guys who would’ve competed for a two deep spot at Bama or UGA
You’re confusing the 2022 and 2023 defenses. The 2022 defense was actually pretty good. BJ Ojulari, Mekhi Wingo, Ali Gaye, Saivion Jones, Jaquelin Roy, Jay Ward, and Jarrick Bernard-Converse are all on active NFL rosters plus freshman year Harold Perkins. The 2023 defense was sun belt level.

What new era? The one that caused Saban to quit?

that didn't ooze that sense of entitlement.
Alabama 57 wins 27 losses 5 Ties
Alabama Home Record 26 wins 17 losses 2 ties
Alabama Away Record 30 wins 10 losses 3 ties
Excluding the ties, Alabama has an overall win percentage of 60.4% at home, 75% away and 67.9% overall against your team. If there is "entitlement", it has certainly been earned by the team on the field
When an American tells a french person "You're welcome for not having to speak German", is that entitlement or simply fact? Were it not for America and the American soldiers, the french would most certainly be speaking german today.

Far from it.
You should’ve logged back into John Milner and spread your posts out a bit.

I agree we should have a poll

My mistake, yeah 2022 was top 20ish in adjusted defense, 2023 was the trainwreck season.

Personally saban put better winning teams together then saban lsu teams

why was Kelly fired?
He lost to Vandy and Ole Miss and was fired just like the last LSU coach to lose to Vandy and Ole Miss.
Why are you so offended by people thinking LSU will always be a contender?

I don't know what that means.

But like half the threads on the board, this one is about LSU.
It's an LSU site, no?

Only a fool doesn’t understand the natural advantages LSU has.
What happened to those natural advantages between 1958 and 2000 ? What happened to those natural advantages before 1958 ?

Damning evidence

They led to LSU being in the top 10-12 in all-time win%, and also led LSU to having winning records over every team not Alabama or Tennessee.
Besides, LSU was winning national championships long before Alabama.

He actually meant himself.
Les Miles and Orgeron won titles at LSU. Les benefited immensely from what Saban left him but he went to the title game 7 years post Saban. His worst season in 11 years was 8 wins. Hell everyone knows about 2019 but O also hit 10 wins the year before. I dont think Les or O were also "sleeping giants"

From 1982 when the Bear died, an era that included your best years ( Saban ) and our worst years ( the 90s ) LSU is 17-25 against you. Had LSU won 4 games more over 4 decades it would be even. So don’t go pretending we aren’t a top tier program.
