Y'all might have dodged a bullet by sucking this year assuming Paterno "retires." I've always though Merlins had his eye on that job.

We currently have a #WINNING record and I don't call that sucking.

Id rather be 5-4 than 2-7 like another SEC school.

He is a pompous dick.

....Al, come on. You all had ridiculous expectations for this year. Had they been met he might have been up for a better job and you know it.

Diamondawg, you really think Dan Jones has more power when it comes to Ole Miss athletics than powerful alums/boosters?

You may be right, but I disagree.

Do you think when the Ole Miss jet went to the West coast to pick up Dennis Erickson until Khayat shut that down, the Chancellor can't override any number of alumni on one single decision? Jones has veto over any such recommendation that he finds unacceptable - absolutely! BTW - the jet came home with Ed O. on board. Remember that one?

Yancy is a fricking idiot, when I was in high school he was the scout guy that helped with my recruitment to OM. I fricking hated him, every time he would interview me he would change up everything I said and it always made me sound like a jackass. At first he helped me out a lot with getting recruited by putting me on scout.com but after that it went downhill, I think he honestly hurt my credibility alot.

I told him my exact height and weight and he always stretched it a couple of inches and about ten pounds when he posted it on my profile. I would go to camp and coaches would think I was lying or not working hard because it appeared I was losing weight when in fact I was gaining it from lifting weights.

Also he asked once in an interview how I matched up against Anthony Steen (now starting right guard for Bama) because he went to Lee Academy who was in our conference and me and him always went head to head when our schools played each other. Me and Anthony are friends too, so I gave yancy an honest answer, no shite talk. Just told him it was a pretty even match and we both won and lost some battles, but we always went hard at it due to competition and both being recruits. Yancy spun it around and what he quoted me as saying made me sound like an arrogant prick and also made it look like I tried to degrade Steen.

frick that guy, he can burn in hell for all I care.

Played my freshman year at MS Delta Community College, started out at starting tight end then they moved me to Tackle because our tackle got hurt and we were thin on the O line.

I quit the next year due to thinking I had got a girl pregnant and I thought I was gonna have to work and go to school. Turned out it wasn't my kid and I never went back I'm probably gonna try out at MSU this spring for defensive end.

Did you look at my scout profile or something? I fricking hated that shirt but I wore it to the camp because it made me look bigger, I usually wear a columbia pfg but they don't show how big I am because they are so loose fitting

Good luck deltaland.

The pay sites from my experience are pretty much a joke. They hype the kids they want to hype and give those particular kids a big head and the fanbases false expectations of an athletes ability most of the time. I'm also biased and that's my opinion from my experiences.

He just needs to hire a brilliant DC.

This isn't his problem. His offensive style doesn't use any time on the clock when they are on the field because they either score fast or throw 3 incomplete passes. Add that to the fact that opposing offenses run the ball to keep the ball out of Leach's hands and you have a Leach led defense that is on the field almost 3/4 the game. No defense can be good being on the field that much.

If Leach was our coach he would beat the 3 no body non conference teams on our schedule plus Vandy. Any good defense (Alabma, LSU, etc.) would beat him by 20. I don't want a guy who has already coached at a major conference for 10 years and not made it to the conference championship game.

Give me a young coach or proven coordinator that will use us for a stepping stone job and leave in 4 or 5 years. Then we can make a big splash because our program will be in top 25 level. It will have to be for him to leave.
