7mil for a coach who has been to the playoffs vs a 13mil coach who has never been. Makes sense to me.

Gonna be awesome watching our future qb and rb along with all our offensive coaches! Can’t wait for the whole broadcast to be one big LSU recruiting show!

He was the highest paid coordinator in the SEC. Plus we were gonna pay Lane’s former chubby pickled arse 14. Definitely a value deal.

This was also posted when you hired this guy.

It’s hard concept for LSU fans to understand but a higher salary doesn’t guarantee more wins. It’s why your most expensive roster in college football this year got you to 7-5.
If the market value for Pete is $7M why should we pay him more? If he wins big we will bump his pay the same way we did Lane.

That seems to be entry level market rate based on Sumrall/Golesh hires

I think you got the wrong impression from the OP
Btw yall set the market value for him, unless there was a secret completion to hire him no one knows about

LSU laughing while they are currently paying 3 different head coaches and just got duped into making Charlie Weiss the highest paid offensive coordinator in the country? Very confused, if kiffin is such a great coach why does he need to have the highest paid offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator in the country? Just find it hilarious the governor was railing on Woodard about fiscal responsibility and then has the highest payroll in college football history.

He may be a better HC than a DC.
For whatever reason Saban thought he was really smart.
Too damn smart for out players if you asked me. We'll see. and so will ole miss.

It’s one thing to troll but if you actually think Golding is better than or at lanes level then you really are retarded. How come USC, Tennessee, or any other major program never hired Pete for head coach?
This board continues to prove everyone’s thoughts that LSU fans are largely a stupid people.

His defense wasn't even that great this year.

We live in interesting times.
Way back when, I thought $100,000 was an incredible salary for any job.
