From what Sam has said it’s not about having enough money, it’s just that we are not willing to pay them the money they are asking for.

They don’t want to spend the majority of the money on a handful of players and not be able to get other players they need.

It’s like the nfl qbs who get ridiculous contracts but the team can’t afford a supporting cast around him I guess.


It appeared they payed kj and rocket last year and that failed miserably.

The ones we’ve lost so far can be replaced.

Sam basically said that if they go about it the right way and let him know what’s going on he doesn’t blame them for trying to make more money and they can come back if it doesn’t work out. He’s just not willing to pay more than he believes a player is worth.

Most leave because they didn’t pan out at this level or looking for more playing time.

I have no idea what any of these players are asking for or what they are getting paid now. We’re dealing with very young players here and it’s a whole new world in college football.

Haasz, Braxton and kutas were all injured during the year and really weren’t major contributors. They each had good potential but none were healthy. That’s not excuses that’s just facts.

Hopefully they can have better luck and more money there. Strike while the iron’s hot they say.
