We beat your arse without our starting LT last year in Ttown. Why would you doubt we could do it again this year?

So I guess Alabama is winning the SEC again.

While I don't know what he did, I do feel bad for the kid. He seems like he was talented in HS then bounced around positions in college -- from QB, to TE, to now LT (?).

Had he been able to stick at one spot (probably on the OL somewhere), folks would probably be talking about him quite positively as he did seem talented.

Don't forget that they played him at DE in JUCO. You are right about transitioning to OL earlier. But from what I understand is he had his mind set on QB and didn't want to really transition until this past year when reality set in.

In that case, it's tough to beat that. Coaches may have been pushing him in other directions for awhile and he refused -- who knows.

Given his size (and from little I saw he seems athletic) it did look like he was a natural at an OL position.

There aren't many 280-300 lb QBs in the nfl.

Starting left tackle?

Left tackle

The competitors: Jeremy Liggins (R-Sr.), Alex Givens (R-Fr.) and Greg Little (Fr.).

The battle: The Rebels need someone to protect quarterback Chad Kelly’s blindside after losing Laremy Tunsil, who allowed two sacks during his three-year career and none in six games last season. There’s no clear-cut option to replace Tunsil.

Liggins seems to be the leader after being named the first-teamer on the preseason depth chart, but those can easily change during the 29 practices available to coaches. Liggins played quarterback and tight end throughout his career, giving him no game experience on the offensive line. Whether he can start at one of the most important positions on the field remains to be seen.

A three-star recruit in the 2015 class, Givens redshirted last season and took first-team snaps at left tackle throughout spring workouts. Redshirt senior Talbot Buys joined him as the co-second-teamers on the preseason depth chart but will likely serve as only a backup this year.

Little joins the Rebels with Tunsil-like fanfare being a five-star signee who’s among the best in the country. Little could take the starting role at some point this season, though a true freshman having an impact like Tunsil did in his first season is rare.

The winner: Too close to call. Liggins or Givens starting against Florida State with Little taking over in Week 5 against Memphis or later in the season seems a likely path.

Yeah, I know what the early "reports"said, but nobody thought he would start at left tackle for us. Well, not realistically anyways. He could have possibly seen some time late in games or if there were injuries though I suppose. He is a great athlete at his size, but as others have said, he just got a late jump on what should have been his position all along. Lucky for him, he only has 3 hours left to graduate and they are keeping him on scholly and even said he has an opportunity to work his way back on if he does what is asked of him.

No thanks... Drew's too soft... We're good with Cam Rob... I mean Greg Little manning the LT position.
