At least Ole Miss has never tasted true success, I'm sure this season was a great ride for most fans.
On the other hand, I can't imagine what it must feel like to be a UT fan. Your team used to be disappointed with anything less than winning the SEC, and now you're the definition of irrelevant. The worst part is, it's clear now that for the third time in a row you still don't have the right guy, and it's probably going to be a lot more of the same disappointment. As a fan, I would be outraged to have to sit there and watch the program I loved just wallow in its own shite and be another UK/Vandy in the East.

I believe most fans are happy with the direction the program is going. I agree with most writers and experts that say this program is on an upward trajectory. But yeah, if the things you said were true UT fans would be outraged.

I know, his whole schtick is making this type of thread. The thing is, I'm not trolling and actually like UT, those are just my observations.

If we win we finish ranked in the top 5 in both polls... You can only pray Butch has you in our position 2 years from now.

I guess it's good you have faith in Butch since he'll be there for at least another year. I'm hoping he can turn you guys into something more than a pencilled in W on Bama's schedule, but I'm seeing some very discouraging signs. I guess 2015 will tell the tale.

2-9 season. Never had one of those. Or 3-8.

I'm not sure what those would be. We have an improved record,first bowl since 2010, recruiting lights out and we improved in almost every statistical category with one of the youngest teams in the nation.

reggieray, it is debatable whether UT will ever finish in the top 5 ever again. and keep in mind they play in the east.
