Good game Rebels. Didn't expect to see the collapse of our late inning pitching staff, but that's baseball. Y'all deserved the win. See you at 1.

They are Texas. They are always overrated in every sport. I think the Rebs are good

Great game. I knew this series would be a knife fight. Got respect for Bianco and this ole miss club.

On the other hand you have the aggies, who are by far the gayest program out there. Their bubbles and gay antics are not only a stain on the SEC, but a stain on our state and college baseball in general. How on earth can you take something as great as college baseball and gay it up so much? I wouldn’t know but the ags pulled it off.

So which is it? Is Texas overrated or is ole Miss underrated? I don’t think both can possibly be true after looking at how the series went

Texas is loaded on the mound and at the plate. Ole Miss has way too much swing and miss for my liking. Teams that live and die by the HR and strike out a lot usually don't fare very well in the postseason. The Longhorns made some base running blunders on Sunday but that just gives Schloss some ammo for corrections which is always good after taking 2/3. Ole Miss hasn't played any team this season that hits that well with 2 strikes. Our pitchers were throwing strikes for the most part and getting ahead. Texas just hit a lot of balls really hard in two strike counts. Long season but the Horns have all the pieces needed to make a run to Omaha.

Our pitchers have missed a lot of bats this season..

Season - All Pitchers
222 K in 163 IP (1.36)

G1 - 16 K in 10 IP (1.60)
Riojas averages 1.90 / IP

G2 - 10 K in 9 IP (1.11)
Harrison averages 1.01 / IP

G3 - 16 K in 9 IP (1.78)
Volantis averages 1.36 / IP
Cozart averages 1.31 / IP

So the strikeouts were a little high on Sunday, but Volantis is filthy when he is dealing like he was on Sunday..

I think you guys have a pretty good team.. but yes, Texas has a lot of pieces to make a run this year. Best since at least 2021 imo when we finished 3rd, but it’s a long season and you gotta stay healthy and get hot at the right time.

Not taking credit away from your pitchers. Lots of quality arms throwing electric stuff. Most impressed with Volantis yesterday. He was really on.

Volantis & Cozart will most likely be 2/3 of our weekend rotation next year. Cozart looks really good for a freshman, but yes Volantis is on a different level when he is on.. not many Sunday pitchers with that kind of stuff.

The Ole Miss bats were very impressive Friday. We struggled to get them out in critical situations over and over. Congratulations!

Aggies can only rejoice at someone’s else’s losses. Of course the rarely get to trumpet their own wins.

Poooor aggy

Great series Rebs! That top of the 9th on Friday was epic. Y’all are going to do some damage in the SEC this year.
