It is so hilarious to see the 180 state fans have done on recruiting. Whenever Freeze was killing it and Mullen sucked at recruiting all I heard out of Starkghanistan was “stars don’t matter at all we’re still gonna compete well with you guys” and now stars are all that matters

You do realize we dropped the 4* QB right? He wasn’t a fit for Kiffin’a offense and that’s fine. He’ll do well at Oregon.
It’s also extremely difficult to replace a QB this late in the recruiting cycle so shocker Kiffin took a 3* that he thinks fits his system instead of a 4*. Also, the kid we got wasn’t ever committed to him at FAU. But keep trying I guess.

That is accurate Henry and in a couple of seasons if Kiffin starts talking some 5* Mississippi recruits into staying home I won’t be surprised and I hope SEC fans don’t start that kind of rhetoric. Kiffin will keep some Mississippi elite talent home. The dude can relate to that generation because he’s pretty much a college age person behavior wise.

Morris’ first class was 49th and before he was fired this year it was around 50th. He had a good class last year but Pittman has a chance to outdo his first class already.

...we won't. And Kiffin knows it as well as anyone. I expect to see some star power in February. But, I agree, 3-star U may make it in Conference USA, but not in the SEC. Luke was satisfied with mediocre, I am not.

I think counting stars is stupid. It's the most Ole Miss thing ever, which makes your "180" comment that much funnier. You guys throw a name out that is a four star on rivals (which is a joke) and it didn't take two clicks to learn that the kid's best offer besides Ole Miss was Southern Miss.

Damn dude, how many 5 star recruits do you think there are in Mississippi, in a given year.
Hell, I don't think there was a single 5 star in Louisiana this year and they have more talent in Louisiana then Mississippi usually .
There may be one or two in Mississippi or Louisiana this year that I missed, but by no means are there usually 3 or more 5 stars to keep home in Mississippi.

We had some natural in-roads and good ties with some great players. Capitalized on those relationships. Sometimes shite happens
Other schools have recruited well after mediocre bowls. You only remember OM because of proximity and the Freeze/Mullen hate.
