Say what? This guy has the absolute worst defense in college football. They were 40th in the nation last season in comparison. Could we at least wait to see if Kiffin has a clue on both sides of the LOS before he ascends to 2nd place in the toughest conference in America?

tough road to hoe dude. It is a gauntlet to win the west. OM, MS and ARK will be competing for 5th place for years to come. I do like Lane as a HC though. i like him better then the PIrate and PIttman. and LSU, despite their stud athletes will be competing for spot 4. I see Bama, AU, and TAMU competing for 1-3 year in and year out as long as NS is there.

If Kiffin stays and they can piece together an average defensive I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that OM could manage a championship season. I would be shocked if they could maintain success however.
Would lane stay there after accomplishing that? I feel like he would see it for what it was and head to a program where sustained success would be easier. He would certainly have offers

And the only way that LSU slips to competing for the #4 spot in the west is if it's a result of getting bitch slapped by the NCAA. Apart from that scenario followed by a long rebuild no way are we overtaken by aggie and Auburn for any real period of time. Aggie blew their load this season*. It's as good as it'll ever get for them.

Tuscaloosa, I think you are correct. If Freeze got us a 4th and 25 miracle play away from Atlanta, Kiffin can get us to Atlanta “if” he stays 4-5 years. I don’t think we could stay anywhere near the top. If Kiffin wins the West, a bigger program will scoop him up. Just hope we keep Lebby long enough to take over
