Who benefits the most if a new rule is made for next season that goes after the "fake" injury?

The teams that are running the tempo offenses.

Lane Kiffin is 3 steps ahead of the game.

So do you want to force an injured player to stay in the game rather than getting treatment? How do you plan to decide which "injury" is real and which is fake?

Ole Miss was blatantly egregious with it. If its bad enough that the commentators are commenting on it during multiple games then some type of plan of action needs to be put in place.

Ive seen some suggest having the "injured" player sit out the rest of the drive or even a quarter to try and stop it. I won't pretend to know what the answer is, but something needs to happen. How many times do you allow a player to look at the sideline and then flop immediately after getting some type of nod or signal to slow the other team down?

They did it over and over again in the UT game just off the top of my head and it was blatantly obvious at what was happening.

Any accusation on Ole Miss players faking an injury in that game is based purely off of assumption.

There was only one injury in that game where you could see a coach telling a player to go down.

...and that was the head coach of Tennessee.

Agreed... Next year they should really crack down on it! Not fair to the teams that run 80+ plays a game.

We aren’t the ones bitching about “fake injuries”. Ask Tennessee, they got this new rule placed

Working exactly how Lane wanted it to. He doesn't come across as being a big ole bitch, Tenn and Ark are the ones that do, and he gets what he wants at the end of the day.

I expect to see some big uglies calling dinosaurs next year trying to keep up with our tempo

Those plane rides after he's done coaching Miami's game would be a bitch.

it was quite literally shown live on national television.

like...i wish there was another word that means literally more than the word literally....because I feel like that the word literally just doesn't quite describe how frickING LITERALLY IT WAS SHOWN LIVE ON NATIONAL TELEVISION.

Serious question

Has Lane even gotten a call for another job?

Didn’t get one for Florida, LSU or OU and Miami got their #1 target

Not sure how you try and fix it. Maybe it is missing the rest of the possession if you go down. Maybe its after so many minutes in each quarter, 5 minutes in if you go out for a injury you can't come back in until the next quarter.

It benefits Lanes play calling for the ncaa to do something though. The guy is brilliant on how he went about addressing it though.
