Tragic, terrible news.
You don't want to be out at night in Memphis.
"Ole Miss freshman Corey Adams has died following a shooting in Memphis on Saturday night, per reports. In total, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says five people were shot.
Officers reported to the scene on Fern Glade Cove in Cordova at 10:14 p.m. There, five people were apparently injured in the shooting. 18-year-old Corey Adams would be pronounced dead on the scene from a gunshot wound."

Cordova absolutely is Memphis. It may technically be the county, but all of the crime from other parts of Memphis penetrates everywhere except for Germantown or Collierville.

Gun violence is all over Shelby County. Cordova has been going downhill for years. It was nice in the 80's, but it's not where you'd want to buy these days.

Hell, it's on the other side of Shelby Farms and is less than two miles (as the crow flies) from Briarcrest, the swankiest private school in that area.
I don't know what point you're trying to make here. Memphis sucks and is dangerous. Where this shooting happened isn't.

I don't know what point you're trying to make here. Memphis sucks and is dangerous. Where this shooting happened isn't.
The point is that entire Memphis area including the unincorporated and surrounding areas of Shelby County are all dangerous and beset by crime. Whether it's within the city limits doesn't matter. I know the city well.

The ghetto is everywhere around memphis. Drug dealers make plenty of money to live in suburban Memphis.

Came here to post this. Cordova, Bartlett, Germantown and most parts east of the city out near Shelby Farms is considered fairly affluent. It’s far from the Memphis hood. Doesn’t mean that cohort doesn’t leak out that way occasionally.
