I do think, I'm not sure any University of Ole Miss fan thinks.

One class? You won't be able to guarantee a change one way or another. There's no guarantee these top guys will do shite. Hell they might all flame out in the first year.

String a few of these together and you get depth and playmakers...they could be a threat then yes.

My guess is that next year Saban is going to hard after every guy OM targets, and really work on Mississippi. This is an adjoining state they have had success in, and I don't see them conceding 5 stars they want to Ole Miss for long. The last thing Saban wants is a smaller program next door scarfing national OOS 5 stars. The buzz will be killed in 2014.

OM is treading on Bama's recruiting philosophy moreso than any other SEC school (other than MSU). The simple fact that they are getting all the headlines this year is enough proof, even more than FLA and BAMA which had much better classes overall.

No, but we've gotten 2nd in the SEC 3 times in the past 10 years. Its certainly not close unachievable. I would be super disappointed if we don't manage to get at least 2nd in the next 4 years.

Building off this class, what are they capable of?

Top 30 class next year

Beating one of the Top 3 in West (LSU, Bama, A&M)

Chick-Fil-A Bowl or Cotton

We dont recruit very much in state so tell saban to dive on in.

We usually leave our MS scraps to state so they can claim "state of MS crootin championships"

We haven't had a Top 5 Recruiting Class in over 50 years either. See how things can change.

It's delusional to think that Ole Miss will ever compete consistently with the power programs in Football. They could win big games here and there but all SEC schools but Kentucky, Vandy, Missouri, and MSU have heavy advantages over Ole Miss that won't be going away in my lifetime.

Basketball or Baseball? Sure they can compete there.

The difference is...

LSU has tons of talent in a state that it has owned since 2000

Ole Miss HAS to pull from other areas and it won't happen consistently.

Agreed. Hopefully we can have a Top 15 class next year though. This year was a perfect storm of recruiting, to where I don't expect it next year, but hopefully we can have a good class built on the momentum of another promising year.

'03 and '08 are the only two times I can think of. Not sure of the 3rd.
We were 3rd in 09 if that's what he was thinking of.

Freeze will leave. Ole Miss is a stepping stone job.
