2020-2025 have been the most tumultuous times in the last 25 years for LSU. They have been the best years for Ole Miss in that same span.
The series is 3-3 over that span.

I think Lane stays for a while as his team at Ole Miss is currently in the hunt.
Plus LSU is saddled with lawsuits pending, and has a governor that isn’t going to allow a contract with a huge buyout.
Florida has already moved on.
There will always be SEC jobs opening up down the line.

1. I don't disagree: BUT him not coming out and saying something is pretty damn likely going to affect the locker room.
2. Yeah it hasn't been a good look for the past few weeks.
3. I don't think Florida has moved on at all just being more public about going forward with backup options. I can assure you that LSU has done the same.

Because he wants to always give himself an “out”. His whole stance on not discussing until the season’s over is an easy and practiced answer that is CYA. He can hold onto that answer for good or bad and recite it every coaching year no matter what league, institution, team may be employing him. He has to keep to that answer no matter what, irregardless of the damage it does to his image or perceived character.
He will not deviate from this because it’s not just about this year but every other scenario that may come in the future.

I absolutely do and I caught shite here yesterday for saying it. Some say it's worth it because he wins....is it? Are you enjoying this right now? Are you having fun? The dude is mentally ill. It is only a matter of time before he does something terrible. I hope he's not at Ole Miss when it happens.

Not sure any Ole Miss fans really believe he's "just trolling." He's clearly torn on a tough decision.

He’s never signed an extension during the season (September-November 28) and the wishful thinking (delusion) is that he’s doing it to increase buy-in from boosters/fans. The new rumor which is a $40m commitment to NIL but who knows if it’s true or not and over what timeframe.
