Loving all of the Ole Miss fans pretending that their program isn't a Vandy tier dumpster fire most years. Even if Florida doesn't get Kiffen, someone will this year, your roster is portaled up for a run this year, and Kiffen isn't dumb enough to stick around like Norvell for the inevitable aftermath next season.

Ole Myth has a ceiling and Kiffin knows it. He'd be a fool to turn UF down and he won't if offered.

You are correct. It’s national championship(s). The same ceiling as every other college football program.

No shot he would go to UF. That would be a dumb move for him. The only moves I see him making are for Bama or UGA (wont happen anytime soon), or out of conference where he knows he can build a team and not get beaten.

Why would you build up a program just to leave for a program youd have to build up, with no guarantee that you could get it back or that the boosters wouldnt run you out.

its like fans saying that Dabo would leave Clemson...why leave a sure thing for an unsure thing

Florida is the new Nebraska. Had some great success for a few years but then turned to mediocrity. No one fears that Kiffin will leave for that shithole of Gainesville.

You obviously don't realize the number of players Florida puts out. He would kill it there. and I'm no Gator fan.

Every program in the SEC has a ceiling…

Until it doesn’t.

With the right people, consistency in action, money spent logically, patience, and luck. There is no ceiling that can’t be broken through.

Ole Miss hasn’t been a consistent winner in ages. Do not conflate that with they cannot be a consistent winner.

Kiffen might mess around and wind up having statues made of him in Mississippi.

I think he goes to Florida, but I would understand if he stayed at Ole Miss.

Cool

ETA: FWIW, I’ve said from the very beginning that Lane will go to Florida if offered. My fellow Rebs disagree. I’m old. I’ve seen a lot. I know, not think, I KNOW that it would be easier to be a consistent contender at Florida vs Ole Miss. It doesn’t make me happy to say that, but history says I’m right. I wish I weren’t.

but not currently, and the boosters are fickle. They fired Dan Mullen despite a few good seasons. Why leave a sure thing, for an unsure thing. Kiffin has exceeded the "ceiling" for ole miss prior to him being there (sustained success). He can continue to build that program and is changing the narrative around Ole Miss...why leave for a job he could get fired from in 4 years

Ole Miss people are entitled AF. If they win 8 games they act like they’re a Saban Bama team.

It will cost UG a cool $26M to get rid of Napier. Wow, who negotiated his awful contract?

We have won 10 games 2 of the last 3 years. We are ranked in the top 5, if our roster was purple and yellow y’all would be claiming it was the best team ever.

Let’s say what Ole Miss fans say, along with the rest of the SEC….

“If you don’t take into account Lane Kiffin, what kind of history does Ole Miss have. That’s right, a shite one. They’re just another Kentucky, Vandy, and Arkansas. They’re not a blue blood like Bama, LSU, Tennessee, or Georgia.”
