Ole Miss 247 board is downright creepy right now. The equivalent thread to this one over there has two replies. Their mods are barely acknowledging anything is even happening, even when asked point blank in chats. If there was even a hint of NCAA trouble at LSU our board would be in riot mode threatening to cancel if they don't get answers.
This shite is really happening.

Serious question. At what point does it all become not worth it? Is there a line in the sand, for most of you, where the program's reputation has been so tarnished that you just want to clean shop and be done with it all?
No I really don't give a shite.
Come those 12 weeks of the regular season I don't care how we beat someone I just want to win games. Does that make me a shitty person? Maybe. Idgaf.
Every other fan here is the same way though. There are very few people that would rather "run a clean program and lose than run a dirty program and win"
But at the same time it's not the end all be all to me. We cheated. We have appeared to have gotten caught. Now let's see what the NCAA Does and we will go from there. Does no good to melt or anything.

Women's basketball and track were happening before he arrived. Football would be on him though. If someone big gets canned, it's Bjork though, I agree.

Didn't Ole Miss's rivals guy get fired over asking Tunsil that question at the press conference?
Posted on 5/12/16 at 1:07 pm to TheDrunkenTigah
People that ignore it or don't talk about it are pathetic.

that's always what theyve been saying! havent changed their story at all!
That's exactly what is sticking out to me, is that now they aren't saying anything. There is no company line of the week anymore. They've quit trying to explain it at all and are literally changing the subject at all costs. shite is getting real.

No here is still there

Oh ok...I assumed he probably lost a ton of subscriptions over that.

people who cover Ole Miss have been saying the messages were already seen by investigators before.
Which, if true, would certainly indicate that Ole Miss is facing more than a slap on the wrist. You are looking at coaching paying player's mom's bills...which is illegal.
This admission also cans the idea that Tunsil was receiving these benefits as a part of the sanctioned emergency fund available for student athletes.
If that had actually been the case as reported by OM beat writers, they would not even mention whether they are looking at whether these could be fakes...they would simply state they are real, we are aware and they were sent under the purvey of NCAA allowed practices.
All of the wagon circling is looking more like a circle jerk by the moment by the OM fans and writers.

I think you are way to obsessed with this.
Posted on 5/12/16 at 1:10 pm to Henry Jones Jr
I mean doesn't it seem a little nonsensical that OM would just randomly confirm now that the texts did happen if the ncaa has known about them for some time

Believe he was a Clarion Ledger reporter, not specifically an Ole Miss beat writer. Would be a big deal if he's been fired. He was doing his job.

yeah it takes a real obsession to make 2 posts in the thread at the top of the page.
frankly i think it's hilarious.

Thanks for an honest response. To an extent I agree, I don't give a damn how we win as long as we do it. However, getting caught doing it, especially very publicly, changes the game for me. I think your identity and brand is extremely important.
Reputation is potentially lasting, it hinders your ability to sell the program as well as cheat and get away with it like everyone else. Whether reputation is more important than a few seasons, I don't know.

Didn't Ole Miss fans say that McCready was the guy that asked that question?
Posted on 5/12/16 at 1:12 pm to VicVinegar03
They could be in the NOA and Ole Miss was just waiting to address it along with that. That's my only explanation for why they kept quiet. Unless they were completely blindsided by it and its a totally separate issue

You seem very meanspirited. You should relax more.

Bjork is definitely getting canned, but I think he and Freeze will be turning in their school provided equipment together. If this continues in the logical direction, Freeze is gone and will be doing well to coach at a mid-major in the next 10 years.

Is it time for an Ole Miss fan draft yet?
