Ole Miss breaks NCAA season strikeout record, State ties it...

OM has pitched for 765 strikeouts this season, and it appears the NCAA season record is 732. https://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/baseball_RB/2021/D1.pdf
With 21 strikeouts in the CWS game vs Texas, State now has 765 K's this season. So each MSU strikeout in the rest of the CWS will set the season NCAA record.
Can't find an NCAA team record for strikeouts per nine innings, but State likely blows that away this season (so far) with an average of 12.5 K/9inn.

I *think* Hoglund either led or was right there with the Vandy boys at k/9 when he got hurt. Diamond and McDaniel both got high K counts when they were able to locate. One of the issues with a power pitching staff is the second they miss, it's a bomb.
