Agreed

The 10-year anniversary of the title would’ve made sense

I’m even more confused! So we wait until he’s called up to 3A ball, put up the statue, take it down 9 years and 364 days after the championship, then put it back up the following day?

You mean there’s more rules?!?!?!

I’m sorry but I’m going to need you to share where you have found these rules as I cannot seem to find them anywhere. Please help us as this is getting to be very confusing.

I’ve learned so far that we need to wait either decades or for 3A ball to call him up before we can put up a statue. But then if he decides to be our coach… Do we have to take the statue down again and wait 20 years before we put it back up? Will we need to take it down once more after he retires from being our coach and wait decades once again? Where does the Heisman fit into all of this?

Please help it all make sense

You sure are melty just because I’m laughing at Ole Miss being probably the first school to erect a statue of an athlete not even 2 years after said athlete left the school. Is Ole Miss that statue-deprived that they couldn’t wait a few years for the title to marinate?

You’re too busy melting your face off that you’re not even comprehending what I’m typing.

I didn’t say he had to be called up to AAA for him to get a statue. Him not even being gone from Ole Miss long enough to get a chance to get to AAA yet but still getting a statue is why it’s so funny

I’m just trying to learn the rules is all I’m doing.

And I’m glad to share the unwritten rules of statue-erecting to newcomers to the practice

Oh, I’m sorry I must’ve misunderstood. So he doesn’t need to be called up to three A ball but he does need to win the Heisman?

Wait, the rules aren’t even written down anywhere? Well, how in the hell is anybody supposed to know what to do?

No, but being 10-15 years removed from the championship would probably make the most sense. I mean 99.98% of college athletes who have statues erected on their campus were gone from their school at least 3 years

Well hold on now, is it 10-15 years or 3 years?

I understand why they haven’t written down these rules yet. They’re probably still sorting them out.

And this gets you a statue at Ole Miss?

He still played and was smashing HR's on one leg. Afterwards, he gave your mom a wild mustache ride.

I’m just trying to learn all of the statue rules. Can you help make sense of it all?

The rule apparently states he has to wait somewhere between three and 15 years then coach our baseball team for 20 years and at some point win the Heisman before we can put up a statue.

How many Heismans did Mike the Tiger win? He has a statue at LSU.

Calm down, baw.

This is all really just a misunderstanding, there's obviously different standards for what constitutes having a statue erected in your honor at different schools.

Nobody said he wasn’t a badass player

Still gonna laugh at him getting a statue only 18 months after leaving the school. Sorry

They really don’t like others laughing at those standards either

Joe Burrow getting a statue back in 2021, Dylan Crews getting a statue next year, or Angel Reese getting a statue next year would be absolutely strange

But you said it would be acceptable for a citrus bowl winner to get one only 2 months after leaving the school!

I wanted to hate him, but I couldn’t. He seemed like a good dude that played the game the right way.
