I mean, if you have to unveil a statue to commemorate a 2-year old championship, I’d think the coach who stuck around 2 decades deserves it a little more than the player who was pretty good for 2 of his 5 seasons on the team

Thank you for your guidance on the rules. Can you please post the remainder of the statue rule book so we know the exact protocol for future statues?

If we wait until after Bianco retires, do we still need to wait decades or for AAA baseball to call him up? Whichever comes first, I’m sure?

And Bama did the same thing with Saban but you started an troll thread during the thick of basketball season.

Bama doing the same thing would be them making a statue of Greg McElroy two years removed from the natty against Texas, which would be just as funny

There’s nothing weird about championship-winning coaches getting statues imo, even though an Ed Orgeron statue would’ve been goofy in hindsight considering how his tenure ended

But a statue of 10th round pick/5th year senior only 2 years removed from graduating is still funny to me. By all means, stay butthurt that I find it funny

why does this have anything to do with a statue?

Weird obsession you have with this

Look at our baseball team today and tell me who deserves a statue. Truly weird that yall have this fascination with Bianco, but have never hired him.

This dude wouldn't bat an eye if they built a statue of Jayden Daniels who led LSU to a mighty Citrus bowl win.

He’s not melting. He’s laughing. On a Friday afternoon About a statue on another school’s campus.

Personally, I think of that as psychotic behavior.

But it seems, based upon your posts’ emojis, that you consistently only find it “laugh out loud” funny but never “rolling on the floor laughing my arse off” funny.

Earlier, I “rolling on the floor laughing my arse off”’d at your highway billboard. So clearly, that’s funnier.

The Heisman is the most prestigious individual award in college athletics

5th year senior Tim Elko who didn’t get drafted until the 10th round wasn’t even a Golden Spikes finalist

Nobody is saying don’t appreciate the guy. He was definitely instrumental in bringing Ole Miss a championship. Hell,a statue down the road probably wouldn’t have been that crazy.

But I still can’t recall any college sports program putting up a statue of an athlete only 2 years after he left the school. Why are Ole Miss fans butthurt that I found it a little weird?

We find it weird that you find it weird. Considering it’s for a school you aren’t a fan of. You seem to be the one trying to justify something here.

That’s fine. It’s your school that unveiled it so defending it really isn’t a shock

Doubt it. Dude hasn’t even been in the minors long enough to get past AA, and he’s already getting statues made in his honor

His professional accomplishments hold no bearing here.

It was our first baseball national championship and he was an instrumental part of our success. Honoring his accomplishments and leadership while in school is important.

You mean there’s more rules?!?!?!

I’m sorry but I’m going to need you to share where you have found these rules as I cannot seem to find them anywhere. Please help us as this is getting to be very confusing.

I’ve learned so far that we need to wait either decades or for 3A ball to call him up before we can put up a statue. But then if he decides to be our coach… Do we have to take the statue down again and wait 20 years before we put it back up? Will we need to take it down once more after he retires from being our coach and wait decades once again? Where does the Heisman fit into all of this?

Please help it all make sense
