Bjork is very happy at ole miss with the situation he's in. He might move on one day, but it's not going to be after 1 year. His family has been moved so many times recently he let them know he would be in Oxford for a while.

His body of work as an AD is less than a year at Ole Miss. There's no way Alabama makes a risky hire like that.

If anything Ole Miss made the risky hire for hiring him from Western Kentucky University. Alabama is going to look like a genius for taking Mississippi's AD.

If he's already moved several times, what's one more? I'm sure his wife would be very happy in tuscaloosa and wouldn't turn down $200,000 minimum to move there.

Well no shite, we were probably in our worst shape athletically in school history.

For what, maybe 1 year. I'll side with history on whether or not it becomes a trend. :)

What is the matter with you? Do you honestly believe this?

Do you not recognize the difference in branding power, money and prestige that supports a school like Bama and how that difference means they can literally higher just about anyone they fricking want...ugh...you know what? Nevermind. You are exhausting, and not in a fun way.

He's completely incapable of reasonable thought. It's truly a staggering sight.

Fantastic. You just keep on readin' those history books, professor.

We'll keep on writing them.

The whole premise of this thread is bullshite. But this is also too optimistic.

If Alabama came calling for Bjork (they won't) he would leave.

I know this is hard to believe, but sometimes people choose a place over money. Would you rather raise your young children in Oxford or in ttown? His wife apparently loves it here. He's been dragging her all over the place, now that they've built a nice new house here it's going to be tough to change her mind.

Keep that 1 year trend going. I'm sure it's a guarantee for future success.

He is a less intelligent clone of Bundy. He even puts a picture in the OP of every thread he starts, just like Bundy.

He likes books with pictures.

Not sure you realize how dumb that sounds considering a secret group called The Machine runs everything in Tuscaloosa.

You're pretty darn brave to even bring up this "supposed" group (and to be clear, I'm not insinuating that they really exists (for my own safety)). It's one thing to bring up the REC, but some groups should never be mentioned.

chatted with him again just now in the Tupelo Airport. I'd be surprised if he leaves this early.

Sorry bro, but reality is that only an OM fan would choose Oxford over Tuscaloosa as a young, up and coming AD with an entire career in front of him.

Irrelevant. TTown has it's exclusive neighborhoods just like anywhere else.

quote:

His wife apparently loves it here.

What's she going to say when someone asks her... "Meh, it's nice, but we're bolting the minute a better offer comes around for Rossy Poo"?

quote:

He's been dragging her all over the place, now that they've built a nice new house here it's going to be tough to change her mind.

What does this even mean? Over course he takes her every where. He's a politician of sorts in Oxford and it's important to be "seen" every where. People can't sell nice new houses? It's called the real estate market and it DEPENDS on people selling nice, new houses.

Come on man. I want him to stay more than anything in the whole world, but you have got to pull your head out of the sand. If a better job is offered within the next 5 years (and Bama is DEFINITELY a better job for a young AD) he is gone. It's business. Stop taking it personally.
