Oklahoma Obsession with SEC

I've been on alot of different fan sites over the years, but OU takes the cake when it comes to SEC obsession.
What's curious is they have a very good record against the SEC over the years, so I don't understand why they are so obsessed.
Any insight?

OU fans are a special breed. Growing up in the middle of the utx/ou rivalry was interesting.

I think Oklahoma and Clemson are kin somehow. Both are annoying as hell and twice as insecure.

Meh. I'm sure they could say the same thing after quickly glossing over SECrant dot com and seeing the daily threads Georgia posters start about them

Clemson is twice as insecure, but Oklahoma is twice as obsessed with the SEC (which is saying alot, Clemson is very obsessed too).

You’ve obviously never been to Eleven Warriors. It’s an Ohio State board and they have a thread up right now called “Go Big 10, frick the SEC!” But it’s only SEC schools that root for their conference, right?

there was an okie poster on the rivals mainboard that would literally start a "LOL SEC" thread after every non conf loss, in every sport.

They are a very weird group. They also have a very arrogant fan base I could see some Georgia baws having to hand out some arse whoopings in the next few days. Last year it was known that lsu was flipping a lber from them and former OU player tweeted that stoops runs a clean program and lsu paid the lber so I tweeted him articles of times OU was busted cheating under stoops he blocked me

They are in the Big 12 iirc. I'm just saying, it's kind of hard to call someone else obsessed when more than a few Georgia posters have spent time digging through their boards to bring content to this website.

A lot of OU fans wish they were in the SEC but they know OU brass loves being Texas' bitch too much.

Nick Saban embarrassed them at LSU and then Les Miles left Oklahoma State got LSU. Oklahomans tends to hold grudges and hate festered among both major fanbases I’m the state towards LSU as they confided in each other. Then the SEC started to dominate the national stage for a while and Les won one, and Saban came back to the SEC and started to dominate there too.
The hate is less about LSU now and more the SEC in general and they simply haven’t won enough yet to counter more than a decade’s worth of “I hate the SEC”

I have no idea. The bigger issue imho is how do you know this information about the Oklahoma board? Did you acquire this intel via backchannels? Or do you actually frequent Landthieves.com often enough to know what they talk about AND then come back to this board to start a thread to talk about them?
