They are in the middle of the country...def not in the Southeast at all...same with Texas, but at least Texas and OU fit in the SEC culturally...Missouri, does not at all..but that ST. Louis marketplace was a sure thing for the top end of the SEC.

SEC should be the original 10 plus South Carolina and Texas A&M. Arkansas if we could find another fit or kick out Auburn.

Look at each SEC town (current and former SEC) and tell me which they had first. A Waffle House or a Chick Fit A?
Sewanee excepted and they have neither that I can remember and the Piggly Wiggly 2 towns over is about as good as it gets.
