OU chokes in big games even when they had one of the best coaches in the game. Now you have Venables so you'll be lucky to win more SEC games than you lose.

Best offensive minds, that didn't believe special teams warranted practice time, and that defense just needed to produce turnovers. Venable may not be the guy, but his mindset of defense being a priority is what will help OU take the next step. Joining the SEC helps our already top recruiting.
Hopefully the choking will stop as we toughen up in the SEC.

While the OP is a goof and certainly all OU fans know it's going to be a huge change....lets not act like Arkansas, Mizzou, Vandy, Kentucky, USC etc are not exactly like the teams you just mentioned. EXACTLY
Now see, you just proved our point. Those teams are nothing like the teams he mentioned, your normal midpack B12 fare ... and certainly not "exactly."
What a lesson your fans will soon learn .... certainly sooner, rather than later.
Did you know the B12 has had what, 3 DBs drafted in the past 10 years, compared to 36 by the SEC and 20 by the B10. Perhaps that explains why all of these highly rated WRs that come out of the B12 never pan-out in the NFL.
I mean, did you know that over the past 10 years the B12 is last, LAST, among the power 5 conferences in draft picks ... and by a large margin. The SEC has put more than double, more than twice as many picks into the league than has the B12.
So no ... those teams he mentioned are not "EXACTLY" as those you mentioned above.
But, as I typed above, pun intended, you're about to find out sooner rather than later.
Oh, and one more thing ... those home stadiums of those teams he mentioned in the B12 ... most definitely not "exactly" like the madhouses you're about to experience at SC, Arkansas and Kentucky. Mizzou is getting better as they slowly develop their SEC fan-skills and Vandy ... well, Vandy is Vandy, every conference has their geek child.
I've actually been-to a game at K-State years ago. When they're winning their fans are pretty good but still not SEC fan worthy.

Back to back to back jacks in the baseball title game.
That was your introduction.

Most draft picks the last 10 years.
SC
FSU
Miami
UGA
Clemson
OU
LSU
tOSU
Bama
OU will lose more than they've lost recently for a number of reasons. But, they'll just lose to uSC, Arky, UK, etc on the same scale they lost to the middle of the pack Big 12 schools.

Hey OP, you sound like a new OU fan. Let's take a quick stroll through OU skeletons and a national title.
BOSWORTH DETAILS CHAOS AT OKLAHOMA
LINK This is a link to a Washingon Post article.
TLDR
OU players free-based cocaine
Coach Barry Switzer did not discipline players who broke the law or circumvented NCAA rules as long as the team won.
a snowball fight outside the OU athletic dorm in 1984 that ended abruptly when receiver Buster Rhymes fired "about 150 rounds out of an Uzi machine gun.
half of the OU football team took steroids "just to look good," while "another 20 to 25 percent" used them seriously to put on weight.
By the way... how is Joe Mixon doing?
LINK
In other words... Shut the frick up.

Never said it was going to be easy. Just saying after Bama, UGA and LSU the SEC is basically a more well attended Big 12....
OU has played in, and faired well in large stadiums on the road....
OU has sucked in the playoff no doubt, but most everyone is getting throtled by those Bama and LSU teams.....

I mean this with no hyperbole, but joining the SEC might be the ruination of Sooner football.
Oklahoma football will look more like Arkansas/OleMiss than Alabama/Georgia in the SEC.

At first, yes. However, in the long run, OU will look more like Bama and UGA do now....or at least, we have a shot at it. No shot staying in the Big 12.
We have had and will continue to have comparable skill positions, where we are the weakest is the Dline...Those boys play for SEC schools...

OM is also undefeated against them in football.

Well they couldn't beat LSU, Bama, or Georgia in the playoffs. Couldnt beat Florida or LSU (again) for the national title. What could go wrong?
