That has validity to it. Will those players be SEC ready.

You mean the program that has a more recent national title than the horns? And fell just short of a second?

Once July rolls around we’ll start getting that SEC bump for recruit and poll rankings. Can’t wait. We signed the #1 RB and he’s shown as a high 4* but once in SEC those players will be 5*s.

As of now:

Top 10 or so works, at that point its just pissing contests.

For example, Bama has 3 5* and 18 4* and OU has 1 5* and 20 4*. Thats 21 each of 4/5 stars. The example I used to illustrate its not just about numbers, when at top it is close all around. If one player in the top 5 of a school doesn’t pan out that would drop them. And no school ever has 100% success rate.

The top 10-15 in each position are all great players and graded just a bit different by whoever is grading. At that point its how they are developed and fit within the scheme that school uses. Main thkng is to get playmakers but next main thing is to condition and coach them.

BV has 3 top 10 classes in a row since he arrived. Its adds up and starts to matter. Bama always gets top recruits so does tx and GA and LSU. It all boils down to coaching and of course some luck (like that 4th and forever pass Bama had vs Auburn). Every team needs some luck to go with top recruits and good coaching.
