When Bama beats your team next year is it because of “Saban’s recruits”, or CKD. Keep in mind that we have been told that all the good players are leaving the sinking ship. Get it on record.

OK if you are want to play the game of impossible what if scenario's, I'll play along.

IF the Gumps actually win a game, I guess the credit would go to whichever coach had/brought the most players on/to the team that actually played in said game.

If 51%+ of the players were Sabans, then I guess it would be "Sabans recruits". We won't know until the game is played as to who is left, etc.

Common sense.

I'm sure we will just nitpick whatever happens, much like Alabama fans have done with the hires of other schools.

The Crimson Copium overfloweth from the chalice of dismay.

Les Miles was the HC at LSU for 12 years. According to Alabama fans every game he won was because of Nick Saban, so I think the same logic should apply here.

Well, clearly it would be because of the refs.

Less than you think. The most important thing coaches do is recruit. Bama would not have won all those championships if they continually had the #133rd ranked recruiting classes.

Another example is... wasn't Michigan still 6-0 this year without Harbaugh?

So ya, if most of the players that play in this fictitious win were Sabin's recruits, then I would point out the obvious.

I mean, Gumptards say Les Miles only won his Natty because of Sabin's players, and he was years removed.

Bama's talent level is always going to give them an edge against most teams. But like always if UGA loses any game, it's due to the other team playing better that day.

But with the new playoff format, I really don't care about any individual game results in the regular season. I don't care if Bama beats UGA in the regular season because it really doesn't matter overall. The only thing that matters is making the playoff and performance in the playoff.

There's no reason to sell out to beat Bama in a regular season game or win the national title. It's more important to get players healthy for the playoff if your team is definitely going to make it.

UGA might get upset by a team like Bama. It happened this year. The difference is next year that one off upset won't matter until the playoff. UGA would have been the #6 seed in the playoff even with the loss. Brock Bowers wouldn't even have suited up for the SECCG.
