pretty sure marshall wanted the tennessee job as well. it appears trent may be safe now but if he was canned marshall was my undisputed top choice with donnie tyndall a distant second.

Bundy would you be cool with the guy from MTSU who has State ties?
Coach Kermit Davis Jr. Is a friend of my dads, and I think he'd be a good hire, but not sure if our administration would offer him.
His dad coached at State in the 1970s fwiw and KDJ played at State.

Well I would be all for hiring someone that would stick around, as long as the guy is qualified. He sounds like he would hang around for a bit if he was successful.

Jon Gosselin. He has 8kids so the viewers of Bulldog televised games can be treated to quadruple the number of delightful, adorable children during each timeout.

Only if he gets back together with Kate. A completely batshit wife is also a coaching requirement.

Gregg Marshall turned down Tennessee and NC State last year.
Sort of, he turned down NC State after he didn't get the Arkansas job.
He is waiting on the South Carolina job, IMO.

If he had offers from State and USCe do you still think he winds up at USCe?
He is from South Carolina, he wanted the job last time but the hired Horn instead. Usually you would think that would mean USC blew there chance, but he has turned down much better jobs since then.

I'd take Pel. He knows the SEC and can recruit.
Good luck with that. Does Mississippi have 3 top 100 players who grew up wanting to play at Ms. State plus another from out of state who has family ties to Ms. State and who has always wanted to play for them?
Otherwise enjoy your Sunbelt/ConUSA thugs that Pel recruits...
Plus having all 12 scholarships is over rated, you only need 10-11.

That whole family and their influence on the basketball program is embarrassing.

I really feel our next head coach will be an African American. More than likely an assistant at a big program or mid major head coach.

No way, he has already been at another SEC program that is historically better than ours and did fricking terrible

He did, SDSU is spending serious amounts of money on cadavers in order to feed Fisher's taste of brains.
Other wise his body would have shut down 3 years ago.

It's sad you feel this way. I really believe it is important in life for the family to stick together. This is part of the down fall of the USA is people shun family.........
I have never heard of or seen any player or anyone else object to Stans family taking part in his job and supporting MS State as they do.
You are an angry young man that needs some soul searching.....

Yeah. Screw Pel. He's a stansbury clone.

People need to let the Bruce Pearl dream die. Also, Scott Drew may well be going down a similar path soon.

I don't bring my family to work. I never will. That's how shite works in this country. Deal with it, bro.

Maybe but i don't see us just looking for a white or black coach rather just someone who can coach

He learned under Sutton, Pitino, and Donovan.
Ms. State will not get a coach with a better pedigree than that.

Why? Pearl put UT at a place Bama hasn't been in decades
Seriously?? Gottfried went to just as many NCAA tournaments, won an SEC regular season title like Pearl did, got his team to an Elite 8 like Pearl did, and got his team to a #1 ranking like Pearl did. They actually had incredibly similar records at their respective schools.
