2 teams won't be ranked for sure, in bold. 9-2=7. Possible 2 more won't be after their bowl games.7-2=5. Bama is one team, not two teams.5-1=4. Possibly 4 teams ranked after the end of the season will be all that Lsu played. Bama finished their NC season having played 5 ranked teams and 10 with winning records.

Again, it was ignored that I pointed out that this is probably Lsu's best team ever. But all the talk about it being the best ever is premature and that's all I was pointing out. Nearly every NC team has a good resume when it's all said and done. I understand this is yalls first undefeated season in 50 yrs or so and that's an awesome accomplishment and worthy of acknowledgement. But it's not like it hasn't been done before, and it's not like other teams haven't beaten top ranked teams before on their march to their undefeated seasons.
