Notre Dame is going to be the #4 seed if they lose to Clemson. There’s no way in hell the Committee would schedule a third Clemson/Notre Dame game in the first round of the CFB Playoff.

My prediction
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame

Clemson beats ND, ND will be no.4. They wouldn’t want Clemson-Notre Dame part 3 especially when they just played against each other in the last game. Alabama-ND and Clemson-OSU would be better for ratings.
This exactly.
I am curious what they do if Clemson loses to ND again.
Would they put A&M at 3 or 4? 3 would avoid a Bama rematch but it also gives Bama a harder game against OSU instead of A&M.

If OSU gets in they will have a SIGNIFICANT injury/wear and tear advantage and that's bullshite.
They will also have a significant disadvantage in game reps for a very inexperienced secondary and running backs. I guarantee you that if given the option the coaches and players would have preferred a few more games.

I don’t care about deserving. This year is just an anomaly and I simply want entertainment on January 1st. I don’t’ want conference rematches like ND Clemson III
Give me USC in the Rose Bowl vs Bama with all that historic pageantry. Or vs OSU which was a classic rivalry or ND for that matter.

No, got to give Bama the first round bye. Clemson vs Ohio St and Bama vs shite team #4.

I'm holding out hope we get in as the 4. Not that I think we win, but we are much better on D at this point in the season, we run well, and Bama is without Waddle.

Alabama will steamroll anyone they play, just like they have been doing.

False, they will be #3 seed.
1. BAMA: undefeated, SEC Champ
2. Clemson: 1 loss, ACC Champ
3. tOSU: 6 win, only relevant B1G team/Champ
4. ND: 1 loss, ACC runner up

I keep hearing rumblings about USC getting a shot at 4.

Too much ground to make up for a single CCG against a fill-in competitor to make the difference
Plus, 1 x 6 win team (that is obviously very talented) is controversial enough for the committee.

If they beat Oregon, they'd be just as deserving as OSU. It makes it even funnier no one is really even discussing them...or discussing how we have an 11-0 G5 school with a more impressive resume than OSU. The CFP committee is showing what a farce their entire creation was. I still don't understand why so many people thought a committee of people was somehow going to produce a better representation of the best and most deserving teams than the BCS formula we had before. To me, just seemed like an obvious way to manufacture the best ratings and protect the elite even more. Would have made more sense to keep the BCS formula and add two more teams to create the playoffs.

Is ND a lock? Currently undefeated with a full schedule.
This is tough
Clem wins close...i see
Bama clem osu nd
Clem loss
Bama nd osu atm
Bama loss nd win
Nd bama osu atm
Bama loss clem win
Clem bama nd osu
Clem and ND playing 3 times in a season would be odd..especially in back to back games
A one loss ND in champ game supersedes anyone 1 loss team

If Clemson wins the re-match, Notre Dame is the #4 seed. If Clemson loses to Notre Dame in the re-match, Texas A&M is (likely) the fourth seed.
I think if ND beats Clemson again they may jump Bama as the 1 seed, preventing the all SEC first round matchup that’s already taken place.
1. ND
2. Bama
3. Ohio State
4. A&M

Ohio State will lose to Northwestern this coming Saturday.

Had that thought as well. Bama getting no style points for beating Gata.
