I said weeks back that the fact that OSU had to play every decent team in the B1G should help them come playoff time. I believe that mattered for OSU. They had seen a couple of talented teams. OSU always has talent.

It wasn't the just about talent though. These games are about emotion and momentum more than people ever admit. OSU had been embarrassed at home the last time they played. They were pissed and focused.

They were also at home. The weather was a non factor but being at home is a huge deal.

UGA didn't get dominated by Ole Miss because Ole Miss was just more talented. It was about Ole Miss having been humiliated the last time vs UGA and now being at home....with their backs against the wall.....and UGA just not meeting that level of emotion and focus.

OSU was desperate as a team and coach and program to win that game last night. It meant everything to them and it showed from start to finish.

They also should have a score to settle with Oregon.

I don’t disagree but he went all the way across the field. He embarrassed himself after Michigan, and now just put an even bigger target on his back.

The whole team embarrassed itself against Michigan.

I hope the staff gives him a talking to. No sense in it.

Seriously, what did you do to our center that suddenly enabled him to snap a football consistently?

Peddling moonshine in Gatlinburg doesn't seem to be doing the trick either, judging by last night's results

The staff and he put in a lot of work to improve. I'm hoping he doesn't revert.

Tell us about the weather excuse for UGA getting their shite pushed in vs ole Piss. A team who gave Kentucky their only conference win.

I agree! Been a Bama fan my entire life and we had no argument to be in playoffs and I’m not sure what makes anybody think we would allmof a sudden play better than we did in regular season. Being left out saved us the embarrassment of that arse whipping UT took!

So don't pick on the Vols because it would also happen to your team.

Tennessee is a good but not great team that doesn't match up well against great teams with stout Ds who can get after the quarterback and lock down their wide receivers. Georgia and Texas are the only two teams in the SEC this year with anywhere near the front 7 on D that Ohio State has. That's why Georgia handled them fairly easily during the regular season..

Ohio State's biggest strength on offense was a major mismatch with the Tennessee defense's biggest strength which was stopping the run and rusher the qb. Ohio State had a brilliant game plan getting their two stud receivers in space and tossing it all over the field on Tennessee's D.

And before it's brought up, no, I don't think in any way think Alabama deserved to get in over Indiana or even SMU necessarily. Alabama needed SMU to beat Clemson and when Clemson won a close game that put the nail in Alabama's playoff hopes.

I don't think Alabama's D (or Ole Miss's and South Carolina's D for that matter) would have been able to consistently stop Ohio State's offense either but I do think any of those 3 teams would have fared much better and at least made it a ballgame if they somehow would have been matched up with Ohio State because all those offenses would have at least moved the chains a decent bit instead of the constant 3 and outs by the Tennessee offense. Easier said than done but gun to my head I think Alabama, Ole Miss, or South Carolina barring turnovers would have lost a 31-20 type game.

The Big Ten was very top heavy this year with 3 elite teams (Oregon, OSU, and Penn State), 1 really good team (Indiana) who played a historically weak schedule with only 1 great team (OSU) on it, and a couple of good teams (Illinois and Michigan) that were on par with let's say LSU this year.

The SEC had 2 great to elite teams (Georgia and Texas),3 very good teams (Alabama, Ole Miss, and South Carolina), and 3 solid teams (LSU, Missouri, and Texas A&M). Indiana in reality would have fallen somewhere record wise between the 3 very good SEC teams and the 3 good SEC teams if they played a schedule comprarable to the schedule Alabama, Ole Miss, and South Carolina played

Pump your breaks there champ. Your beloved Buckeyes just improved their all time record against SEC teams not named Vanderbilt or Kentucky to 4-14 with Saturday night's win and most of those games involved Top 10 Ohio State teams...i.e. Ohio State teams in the vicinity of this year's team strength wise.

Ohio State has historically been the SEC's favorite postseason punching bag

Same goes for your in conference partner Missouri. They are 2-10-1 vs the Buckeyes but the amount of shite they talked last year was quite amusing after beating a Ryan day play calling and injury depleted and opted out team lol.
