This all sounds just about right
(1) Tebow leaving and there goes Meyer past security blanket

(2) Meyer has already stated he'd love to Coach ND with bigger bucks etc.

(3) Bama comes to Atlanta and Urban has his deal set with ND..Another reason for Bama to win the Game. Urban bows out of The SEC..Done Deal

If any of that is true about them going after Meyer, then it is probably already too late. If they really want Meyer, they will have to slow play it and wait til after the bowl season. Doing it now is virtually guaranteeing that Meyer will say no and they will have to go elsewhere.

I wouldn't whine or cry.

We'd just offer Saban a private island in the Keys and take him off your hands for a couple of years until the next coaching phenom is ready.

Did you see the word "blog" in that link? I know i did.

Either way, it wouldn't matter if ND offered Meyer even more money that he is making now. Meyer loves where he is and what he is doing. The way he talks, it sure looks like he is going no where.

This dude is a clown if he expects anyone with a brain to believe this. UF AD is going to entertain ND's AD 3 weeks before the SEC championship game and a possible BCSNCG along with Urbys agent about the opening at ND.

There was a healine on ESPN yesterday that said ND was trying to stop it's planes from being tracked. I couldn't read the article cuz I'm not an 'insider'.

With Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis looking increasingly unlikely to make it to next season, speculation has started on who his successor could be.

Back in July, Press-Register columnist Paul Finebaum wrote that he expected Urban Meyer to leave Florida for South Bend after this season. Florida Today columnist Peter Kerasotis echoes that thought, saying he expects Meyer to get the first call if Weis is fired.
Writes Kerasotis:

Notre Dame absolutely, positively phones him first. Meyer is the reason ND didn't wait until the end of the 2004 season to fire (Tyrone) Willingham. Florida had fired Ron Zook and the Irish were trying to beat the Gators to the dotted line.

"I wanted to go to Notre Dame," Meyer said in his biography, "but my family wanted to talk about going to Florida." Last December, Meyer said on the radio, "Notre Dame is still my dream job. That hasn't changed." Then, earlier this year, he said, "I'm not going to Notre Dame. Ever."

Whatever.

So they will lower admission standards for Meyer but wouldnt for Weiss. Yeah that seems plausable.

If that is the contract I don't think there is a college head coach alive who wouldn't take it unless they were at their Alma Mater.

That is more money, more exposure, and one of the easiest paths to the BCS in all of college football.

If I am Bama, Florida, or Oklahoma I am scared shitless if that is the offer.

Meyer should be at the top of the list because of age alone IMO. Obviously he is the top coach in America though.
