Too bad you don’t have a team like LSU fans have.

You gotta admire a conspiracy that claims that the most penalized team in the conference has the refs in their pocket.

It was a poorly officiated game but you are picking and choosing ones that fit your predetermined narrative and ignoring the calls that don't fit it. I saw both teams get away with holding on some plays, saw both teams get away with pass interference, and then get called for it with much less contact or uncatchable balls. The officiating was bad and inconsistent over the course of the game. But it is was not as one sided as you and many of your fans are claiming. I know you think you are being objective but the truth is that if we the fans were capable of being objective, then we wouldn't need third parties to officiate our games.

They tried to cover it up by giving Tennessee some meaningless calls when they were between the 20s. But you know, the second it looked like we may have been about to score, they turned that REC shite up to 1000. Three differently called penalties on one play when we were on the 10. Phantom hold to wipe out a TD. Unnecessary stoppage of play when it was clear Bama’s players weren’t set.

There were bad calls both ways. But at every truly crucial moment in the game, they ALWAYS went to the gumps.

At risk of sounding like an LSU fan, Bama won the game. It would had been a little more interesting if not for several calls going against Tennessee. This is one where the Jordan gets to the 10 yard line and the ball is spotted at the 12 yard line.

Ball spotting

He didn't make it to the 10. Looked a little short, about half a yard. Hard to take you serious.

Or this one unecessary roughness call that completely changed the momentum of the game.

15 yard penalty on this clip:

15 yards penalty

Why does everyone always show it in slow motion instead of full speed?

quote:

This is not a penalty on Bama:

NO penalty

Uncalled penalty. Probably would have been called with the crew working the game last night.

quote:

There was also the last offensive play of the 1st half when Alabama somehow snapped the ball in shotgun formation, completed a 7 yard yard out route and only 1 second came off the clock. It didn't matter because the FG was eventually missed.

That was a clock management error. Call it homefield advantage if you want, just a really bad case of it.

quote:

Then there was the taking away of Jennings TD for "holding".

Called on the wrong number, good call.

quote:

On another play they called 3 penalties on the Tennessee's offense.

What the hell does that matter? Only 1 of them counts.

quote:

There was another play where the officials stopped a first and goal for Tennessee because they claimed the play clock was not set. Tennessee was in wildcat, Bama was not ready and was about to snap the ball and the officials stopped the play for 20 seconds.

Cry more. If Alabama was worried about not being ready, just would have called a timeout. Tell me the last time Alabama finished a half with 0 timeouts.

quote:

No PI on bama defender wrapped on Jennings legs in the end zone for a TD. Jennings still got his hands on it.

No img? I guess the 4 other PI calls weren't enough.

The refs balance it all out by throwing meaningless penalties on Bama during clean up.

They would absolutely scream the loudest if that shite was turned on them.

You mean like the year we lost a national championship game and the other team ran 99 offensive plays against probably the best defensive front without a single holding penalty? Then lost the game on a no call on a pick play?

It's football, shite happens.

Why do y’all even try to argue with these fools anymore? There’s clearly no convincing them, and no amount of stats or facts makes one iota of difference. I personally don’t care. Let them believe Bama gets all the calls if they want. I wish Saban would grow a Snidely Whiplash-esque handlebar mustache, so after each and every call against Bama’s opponents the cameras could cut to him twirling it and snickering evilly.

2 words - OK, maybe 3 - South Carolina -Georgia - The powers that be (aka REC) have a memory at least a week long. They remember what happened 7 days back in Athens, Georgia, and they couldn't risk a fair ball game.

I did not see by about three plays of the Ala/Tenn game but when I saw postings and complaints about officiating it was not surprising at all. Alabama does not need help from the officiating crew. I don't know why a game can't be called the same on both sides of the ball. Florida/SC game yesterday had some very questionable calls and no calls.

The officiating in the NFL is such that I watch less and less of that stuff every year.
