Well we're mad, but it's the right call.

The issue with the helmet rule isn't that it exists. It's that it is so disproportionately severe. That shouldn't be a 15 yard penalty.

Someone brought up the NBA earlier, and I think that is a good analogy for officiating in college football. To me, the NFL may be over-officiated, but it feels more consistent across the league. The NBA and college football may as well be different sports some days, depending on the crew. Subjective rules vary WILDLY, depending on who you get.

it's starting to become a drag at times.

i usually hang out with friends and have a little party, grill out, etc because it has become a pain in the arse to try and just enjoy watching a football game.

too much stoppage, too many commercials.

i don't even watch nfl much anymore. maybe a dozen games a year.

I also noticed in some games they reviewed every damn play and in some games they didn't review shite. It's all over the place and apparently they don't have to answer for it, they just keep showing up for the next game.

LSU ref threads never get old. I miss their schedule threads, though.

Standard Gump response yet SEC officiating continues to suck

And I seem to recall a bunch of officials gripes in Wisconsin match-up.

It's gotten ridiculous for a league that prides itself on being "the best"

i wonder why it takes them so long to review things.

maybe some calls take a bit, but most are apparent.

it's not efficient either way.
