Maybe y'all will start believing us about how Meyer left the program in such a shitty state.
I've come to the realization that Urbs won at BG, Utah, and early on at UF because he had players from the prior staffs that had a clue about recruiting. He had Tebow and Harvin carry his arse for him during his UF heyday and stayed too long at UF by about two years, when his 'recruiting prowess' was beginning to be revealed as a sham.
A smoke and mirrors HC if there ever was one...

This game is mildly depressing.

That our QB didn't shite the bed like Brantley did in the past 2 years when facing pressure.

Which is why i want brisset in there. I don't care if he did throw a td pass. That was all hammond.

What? Brissett would've been sacked on that play
His mobility is horrible.

He lost his soul to Saban and then mailed it in once Tebow left. Hell even in 09, the offense took a huge step back with Mullen leaving for Miss St.

Did I just see a QB step up with pressure in his face and deliver a pass on a key 3rd down?
Holy shite. I'm pumped
yes against the vaunted BGSU pass rush...bunch of natural born killers

You are just now realizing this? A while back i looked it up and UF has had, I think, 1 First Team All-SEC in the past 2 seasons, and 1 guy drafted in the first 2 rounds of the NFL draft. Urban left that program in shambles from a personnel standpoint.

Urban really did a number on the program.
Hopefully he'll do the same to Ohio State.

I'm still grateful for the 2 national titles and I hope he does well at Ohio St. It's just how he mailed it in that last season and the whole "I quit, no I'm back, no I quit, no wait..." way he left.

Brantley couldn't do that even vs FURMAN last season.
I don't care. At least we have a QB that won't drop to the ground when he sees pressure in his face.

I agree with that, but I'm not wishing him too much luck at OSU

Well, I've suspected it for a while...but the perfomance of UF post-Tebow is almost surreal.
How can you win two NCs, and (allegedly) recruit lights out year after year, and be this bad? Even with the schematic changes from Urbs to Muschamp philosophically, it's just unbelieveable how quickly the wheels fell off.

Hopefully Saban leaves us in good standing when he retires

Seriously. When I change offensive playbooks in NCAA I've got it all ironed out after two games, tops.

I have no doubt of that.
Saban has caught some shite for offering a 2-star long snapper this year, and 3-stars here and there, but the man is a supreme evaluator of talent regardless of stars. He recruits to needs...Urbs seems to have not.
I'll admit, I've never cared for Urbs. Mrs. bs2 is a diehard Gator and she never liked him.
