The problem you saw in the run D looks to be a LB problem.
At the end of the game that is an experience issue for our QB.
We should have kept running that bitch and pounding their D Line.
Hey we lost by 7 to the 14th ranked team in the country. They will improve, but we need to let the young guys go at LB and see what happens. I believe Frazier will settle down and improve. Clemson played well, and we lost. Pass D was better then many think. Boyd only had 208 yds passing 1 TD , 1 int. we got killed on the run game this time. 320 yds. LB's will be our downfall this year I'f we can't shore that middle up.

Not all the time. The OL for Clemson was making it into the 2s. That's a DL problem.
I was really thinking your strength was going to be Defense. In particular, the run defense.

Well of course not.. the dline isn't going to manhandle a solid experienced oline every down. You've got to have lbers filling the gaps when the dline gets a push though. The gaps were never filled tonight .

Yep. Our LBers play defensive and scared, then take horrible routes to the ball carrier. And it happens over and over and over again. I fail to see how the young guys could be that much worse. At least we could get our future players experience.

Bates is not a LB and Holland should be playing for UAB. Nothing we can do to get around those two.
