Not so sure about that....

What he did at Houston is awesome, Indiana was doing very well with him, and Oklahoma as well. He almost had KY with much lesser rated recruits, as in MUCH LESS, he adjusted in game against those big, tall boys and he coaches up his talent.

I think he could possibly be top 2=3 in a couple of years period.

You say 3, I say 4. Either way we are close. Cal and Pearl are better (cheating beside the point), he'd be at best even with Barnes. If TAMU hires Buzz then he will be below him too. Either way it will be an uphill climb every year.

We'll be better off than we were with Mike but we wont have an elite coach

Fayetteville, AR: Just a few short days after relieving Mike Anderson of his head coaching duties the University of Arkansas has reached a contract agreement to make former player, Corliss Williamson, the new head coach of the Razorbacks.

Williamson is a long time hero for Razorback fans. He was the MOP on the 1994 national championship team. Williamson had a 12-year NBA career and began coaching in 2007 after he retired from the NBA. Most recently he was with the Phoenix Suns as an assistant coach.

With the buyout that the University and the Razorback Foundation had to pay with Bret Bielema on top of the buyout for Mike Anderson, the University was strapped for money so they decided to go an economical route and bring in a HomeTown hero. Williamson will be a fan favorite and surely Arkansas fans will cherish what he has done at the University. Howard johnny-on-the-spot reporter, Richie Sooker, is in Fayetteville and tells us that Williamson has been signed to a 10-year contract worth approximately 9 million dollars.

There has been no official announcement from the University. This story will be updated as more information is available.

According to college basketball sources a contract agreement between @UHCougarMBK Coach Kelvin Sampson & the University of Houston is in the process of being finalized & the deal could be completed as soon as today. Last week UH offered Sampson a 6-year contract worth $18 million

Looks like it might be Marshall and back up plan is Musselman. If that is the case, we won't know anything till Wichita St loses.

That would be a nice hire if it happens. I'd be curious to see what he can do at a P5 program

Some are saying that is the plan but I'd rather just grab Marshall if he is there. We are wasting time for something very unlikely.

@ LOLSU being a "premier job". Their coach won't meet with his bosses and day-to-day goes by with all sides doing nothing.
