I mean you could have a heck of a team and go 8-4.

Debatable. On paper the schedule looks tough, but we've yet to see any of these teams play. 8-4 for a program like OU is a failure, especially for year 4.

Can I get a prop bet on a coach named Brent or Mike on one of those betting sites?

As a Sooner fan the question is, if OU defies the odds, beats teams as an underdog and wins more than they lose, does Venables get any credit at all for his coaching skills?

How is Stoops that low at UK? Half the Kentucky fans you talk to would be shocked if he’s back.
Who we gonna hire thats better tbqh. His offenses always suck but his defense is usually good and he did give us a couple of 10 win seasons which is rare as hell for Kentucky football. Its just a hair above indifference at this point.

Jon Sumrall. The same guy I want at Auburn if Freeze is done this year.

should he? He took over a program coming off an 11 win season and, excluding the COVID season (9-2), they had won 11+ games in 6 straight seasons. I don't think you should give a guy credit for having an ok record when the reason they're so bad to begin with falls on his shoulders. Like, he lowered the bar...significantly. He shouldn't get credit for overachieving the low bar he set. He should, IMO, be judged based on the expectations of the program. He shouldn't need 5 years to get Oklahoma back to winning. If he can't figure it out in 4 years, he probably isn't the right guy for the job, which was predicted by a lot of people when he was given the job.

It won't change.

Arkansas is a reactive program that makes excuses instead of getting in front of the pack.

A good example is Arkansas pushing back against NIL and not taking advantage of a 9-4 season.

Ole Miss was the opposite.

Getting fired from a major college football program isn't a bad life goal.
