Yep, of course he left his feet.

We call that "running".

Yeah, I'm just pointing out that even if you do want to idiotically interpret that as "leaving his feet" there STILL has to be forcible contact to the head or neck area for targeting.

I thought we were past the point of arguing whether it was the right call or not and moved onto the systemic bias in the SEC office. Anyone who maintains it was the right call is only destroying their own credibility.

Not what I saw....there was contact, although incidental it appeared...I agree the rule sux and should be changed immediatley

I don't see launching. Unfortunately, there is contact with White's helmet to Fitzgerald's facemask. I don't think its because he launched himself. Its because he's 5"11 and Fitz is 6'5. This is one example of why the automatic ejection on these calls needs to be done away with. Not all targeting rules are created equal. Kicking a DB out because at the last second a wide receiver lowers his head is ridiculous. I'm biased, but what White did, even if construed as targeting, was not malicious and should not warrant ejection.

at the VERY most it could be considered roughing the passer. but its nowhere near targeting.

Left foot on its way down at time of impact. He was mid stride. You can see from the side shot that his stride never changed. So no launch.

The thread title isn't "What I Saw".

The thread title IS, "Objective look at White targeting penalty"

And here's the objective person to evaluate the hit:

"Dean Waite, a former SEC official who graduated from the University of Georgia with an undergraduate and law degrees, who now practices law in Mobile, Alabama..."

There's really no need to add more uninformed opinions.

What's done is done. Except threads from LSU Fans talking about being unfair.

Oh...

Except threads from Bama Fans talking about the call being fair.

Oh...

And everyone accusing LSU Fans from being SJW's for being upset about it.

Other than that...what's done is done.

Devin is a Trojan horse, nothing more. LSUsual has their LoSe8 excuse and that's very important throughout the month November.
