Boy, it appears that the Fox News crowd just can't let go of this. Nothing gets under conservatives' skin like black students standing up against racism, acting in solidarity, & forcing those who wield power to accede to their demands. For people who insist that authority is always to be obeyed & never challenged, the Mizzou file presented an unacceptable inversion of the social order which they just can't abide. How dare these football players not know their rightful place & stay in it? How dare their coach, Gary Pinkel, back them up? How dare the university not punish or expel them for their insubordination? (Cue fists pounding on table.)

Well keep it up baw!! More protests!!! More fascist professors kicking people off the protest grounds!! More poop on the wall!!! More fake hunger strikes!! More threats by the football team to boycott and not play!! It's working so well for ya.

The Snowflakes on campus need to organize their protests during big recruiting weekends for maximum effect. Right? Get the word out. Act in solidarity.

And it made no sense because of that.

There was one Missouri fan Jesus something or other that was adamant that the football team holding the campus hostage was going to blow over with no lasting effects.

If I was a parent, that scenario is a dealbreaker. The campus leadership failed and failed spectacularly.

10% funding cut results in a lot more staffing cuts etc. than the reduced attendance does. It also presents a more lasting impact, especially when attendance inevitably returns to "normal" levels.

Almost every University can eat a couple down years in attendance. But the state funding, that is a true killer.

That's a 10% cut in the portion of state funding not total revenue. It's probably not more than a 2-3% cut overall. I believe at LSU, it would be only about 1%.

They will make most of it up through tuition hikes. (Auburn once imposed a one-time $400 "proration fee" instead of a permanent tuition increase, but usually, it's just a straight rate increase). Staffing, etc., won't suffer as much as you think.

One can argue back and forth on what and why Mizzou is losing students/funding, but the bottom line is it's now viewed as a BLM/liberal trash heap campus with no redeeming qualities.

Mizzou is an out of control tire fire, and will likely be a generational fire.

Of course the New York Times never mentioned that the hunger strike cuck who's daddy is a multi-millionaire made the whole fricking thing up and that the Shitsticka never actually happened. This is why people hate the media.

And it's sad how many people swallowed (and continue to propagate) the fake news - hook, line and sinker.

I don't know if they did lab work to confirm that was feces (but I think it is a safe assumption).

But it got there somehow.

Now I'm in the fabricated hoax camp.

So... the guy at the center of all this squeezed one out and painted that on the wall.

Be so interesting to see a film of that guy being asked questions.

"So how do you think the perpetrator did it? Do you think he held the poop like a sharpie? Did he use toilet paper to hold the base? Bare hands? What happened to the poop when he was done? Down the shower? Into the toilet? Did you notice any residue in the toilet after you found the swastika? Is it your belief he flushed?

You know poop has dna in it. It's true. All we need is to match the dna and we know who pooped.

I guess though... do you flush after you do your business? It's possible that the perp used what was in the bowl. We'll need a dna sample from you to confirm that though.

That brings to mind how exactly this individual knew he'd find a bowl full when he entered the room.

About that flushing... are your habits known to a lot of people? It's the only way he could have known he'd find material readily available.

Or maybe it was a spur of the moment thing. The individual in question might have entered with no real plan other than to be racist somehow, and seeing a bowl full of material suddenly thought 'Hey I'm gonna take this black guy's crap and smear it on the wall. In honor of Hitler. That'll show him!"

The fact that this particular story led to this outcome is one of the most ridiculous things I can think of.

Seriously, how did any of this ever happen?

Someone may or may not have drawn this in poop in a bathroom.

Be real. The extremely poor reaction by the students, faculty, and BOR(?) is now crushing your university.

You are still subsidizing their education.

Arkansas subsidizes a portion of OOS student fees (which are above in-state fees) for high-achieving students. They still pay more to UA than any in-state kids ever pay.

There's also this thing called economies of scale. Adding an additional 5,000 students (if there are actually even that many taking advantage of the subsidy) isn't a huge deal once you already have the infrastructure in place for 28,000 students.

They aren't getting "free" tuition by any stretch. Best-case scenario, unless they are in the top .5% and on Honors Fellowships, the most "subsidized" OOS student is paying more than any in-state kid. With lottery scholarships, etc, the average IN-State student isn't paying "full price" out of pocket.

Arkansas is a small population state. It works for us, and works for good students who'd otherwise go to Tech or Oklahoma or Baylor.

We also get kids who want the opportunity to participate in a traditional, large Greek system with huge houses and big organizations. A&M doesn't offer that type of experience.

I'd also add that the Walton College of Business is criminally underrated by most publications. Apart from being highly influenced by Walmart, JB Hunt and Tyson all being headquartered in the metro, EVERY business that does business with Walmart globally has a presence here. Instead of three Fortune 500s locally, the reality is more like 100 Fortune 500s with a serious presence in the region. There is an office building in north Fayetteville which houses 300 white collar Proctor & Gamble employees. Internships are crazy-easy to come by.

When I was in school many, many moons ago, I remember having a visiting Chinese diplomat working with Tyson on trade deals, come by and speak to three classes one week.

One of my marketing professors was a Brazilian expat PhD on sabbatical that semester from her position as Head of Purchasing for Walmart--Latin America.

The access to the global business community provided week in and out at the Walton College is incredible. The networking opportunities are incredible. You really take it for granted. It's a great school to attend and you have to try hard to not be successful as an alumnus.
