Definitely not a home run hire. It's the lack of consistency that is concerning. CWS runner up in 2016 followed by 3 mediocre years. This was Yeskie's first full year.

Overall hire? C+
Johnson was 61-58 in league play prior to this season. He won’t make it to year 6 at LSU if those are his league results. His first and last years at Arizona were good, but in between was mediocre. Seems like record wise, this is the type of coach LSU just got rid of.
We shall see.

D for dam why didn't you go for someone better? JK , but being serious; I think this is a pretty good hire. He has been to Omaha twice, and he'll get a lil better talent @ LSU.
