Only 3 games decided by less than 20 points. This excludes Clemson’s semifinal and national championship.
Think about it. Clemson roasted their playoff opponents by a combined score of 74-19.

I would include OU 2000 in that list of premature "all time greatest". They fell in the Conference Championship game, before they did again in the NC Game, but that team looked like a monster on O and D.
They beat Texas A&M 77-0.

Anyone who watched Bama get beaten up by Georgia for most of the game and still thought we were the GOAT doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

That wasn’t the 2000 team, they won the NC and beat that FSU team that was said to be “greatest ever” it was was 2003 where they lost to Kstate.

This. Prior to the Gators curb-stomping the Buckeyes, it was a forgone conclusion that tOSU was the best team ever.

2018 Bama. And. It. Isn’t. Close.
Bama was over-hyped by every talking head in CFB. Their own players thought they could go toe-to-toe with an NFL team.
They then proceeded to get their shite pushed in by a true freshman QB by the 2nd largest margin in a championship game in the BCS/CFP era

My bad. Yes it was 2003. That team looked scary good in the regular season

You can't even get your history right.
2000 Oklahoma went 13-0 and barely beat A&M 35-31 (had R.C. Slocum not been a dumbass and called 4 straight pass plays 1st and goal from the Oklahoma 8, Bob Stoops never wins a title).

2018 Alabama and it isn’t close.
2016 Alabama would be 2nd.
Both rolled into the national title claiming to be the best ever, despite having relied on cheating refs and a biased SEC to get there.
Then they both got dumped on in new and uniquely embarrassing ways.
1. Losing a natty on the last second
2. Getting obliterated by 28
