you change it from '75 to '77? Scared GurleyGirl above might figure out she's the one to "make you a man"?
We could know each other tho...

University affiliation. UGA class of '75 here. Theirs is obviously great football in the NFL with the best college players but when the league and players went political/woke, they lost me.
With the utmost respect, I just want to say I did not realize GurleyGirl was such a cougar.

What does college have to offer that is better than the NFL?
If you live in the states of Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Georgia, quite a lot. Arkansas? Not so much.

Texas undergrad here (MBA in ACC, no rooting interest), and I have to say....I'm starting to feel foolish caring this much still. I'm not a college kid, I am decades removed from my experiences and memories of college football and my kids/grandkids are not here on H1B visas so not smart enough to get into UT Austin anymore anyways.
I'm questioning the point, to be honest. Maybe OU broke me.

I would probably be saying this too if I was an Arkansas fan

I just love watching good football. I'll never give up watching college sports no matter how much the players get paid.

I don't have to worry about a dumbass AD trying to also be the GM and head coach. And if he were to try, my fellow alums and I could actually affect change.

I have never been a fan of a NFL team because I am a Falcons fan....however, I do watch a little NFL and in person or on TV it is a far superior experience compared to CFB. I would have never dreamed I would ever say that. CFB is almost untenable today - television has created a product where ads are more important than the game. This is unpleasant at home. It is unbearable in person.
When one team has made a first down in a drive and there is a 5 minute commercial before there is another play ran momentum is killed and enthusiasm is similarly effected. At the house this is made bearable because there is shite to do when they are selling Dr. Pepper. In person its a lot of "What the frick is going on....why is the clock stopped". It happens between every change of possession, almost. It happens every time out, every injury, and is especially bad just after the half when they have 20 minutes of commercials with some inane commentary by folks I mostly wouldn't want in my house, kick off the second half, and soon as one team has possession yet another 5 minute commercial break. It is unwatchable on TV or in person.
We are mostly true fans on this site....we mostly hang on every play...the in game threads proves this. Our TVs are in the minority. Most of them are on and tuned in because there is frick all else to have on for most of the season and no one is really paying attention....they sure as hell aint buying Dr. Pepper and Allstate Insurance because they see it during a game they because they can't tell you what down it is in that game. It is not sustainable.
