His job, like everyone else's really, is to make money when it comes down to it. Look at the names in sports journalism that you know, that you see the most, etc. It is telling. Looks like McElroy has figured out that vanilla analysis of football isn't going to get him anywhere so by going this route he probably does have a better chance of being "good" at his job, aka staying employed and making money.

Lets just say that if Saban put DH in earlier and kept him in, Bama doesn't lose to OU in the 14 sugar bowl

So what is the point in discussing any player's high school records, especially in this case, from years ago? Not relevant to anything today.

His morning show is actually very good and doesn't seem to be a Bama homer show. I live in Baton Rouge and try periodically to listen to the local ESPN radio here, but every time I tune in it is either a commercial or conversations about pro sports. I ended up going to the WJOX web site and just stream it instead. Of course I have to tune out when the Paul Finebaum show starts.
