One of the more overlooked aspects of this game is that it's being played on Easter Sunday. It would be great if everyone takes a moment to recognize what Easter is about - the resurrection of Christ. For those of us that are Christian, the celebration of Easter is such an important holiday to our faith. And that's what it really is about - our faith.

Most of us, growing up in the South, remember fond memories of our youth on Easter day with family gatherings, Easter egg hunts, and recognizing the miracle of what Easter really is - the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

No matter the denomination you are in, this holiday is the very fabric of our faith. Being open about your faith today - during a time when mocking Christians is en vogue - is something that none of us should be ashamed of. So, when an entire school bases it's existence on the Catholic faith, it is something that we should all celebrate as well.

And it is with that love of Christ during the celebration of Easter, that we can all come together with the one thing that we all agree on - tomorrow, we are all Notre Dame fans - unless you choose to turn your back on Christ, then you're just gonna go to hell.

Spot on.

But the pope, who ultimately is over Notre Dame, declared there is no hell.

You know I was all in on your message and I think the NCAA should avoid scheduling on Christmas and Easter!

I am not saying this because we are playing them, but for years and years, my favorite team has always been the team that is playing Notre Dame.

As much as I wish it was true, I've seen one too many outcomes that say otherwise.

I stand with Christ and against Mississippi State. Onward, Christian soldiers!

Sing her glory and sound her fame,
Raise her Gold and Blue,
And cheer with voices true:
Rah, rah, for Notre Dame.
We will fight in ev-ry game,
Strong of heart and true to her name.
We will ne'er forget her
And will cheer her ever,
Loyal to Notre Dame.

Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame,
Wake up the echoes cheering her name,
Send a volley cheer on high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky.
What though the odds be great or small
Old Notre Dame will win over all,
While her loyal sons are marching
Onward to victory.
