I hate to say this but I believe Kelly makes the playoffs this year

If he loses at Clemson he will lose at least two more games and miss the playoffs.

Clemson on the road is a hell of a way to break in a new offensive line.

Kelly does not have a good track record in opening games against ACC opponents.

But how many teams can say they have lost in two different death valleys in the same season?

Kelly was good at Notre Dame but when it came time to be great he always folded.

Except he took them from shite to 11 or 12 wins when he left them missing out on the 4 team playoffs at number 5.
He also didn’t have the advantage of NIL and ND has spent their asses off since he left.
How did the frickers win last year? With Kelly’s assistants. It is about spending money since he left and ND has spent more on Freeman and on recruiting. This is a shite article

LSU was in the bottom half of the SEC NIL spend in 2023 and 2024 for football. Look at the difference in this class.

interesting fact. The Cincinnati Bearcats have as many college football playoff appearances as the LSU Tigers.

I hate to be the one to do it, since I've been defending Kelly in this thread, but It is pretty funny that the reason why Cincinnati got into that playoff is because they beat #9 ranked Notre Dame (and Brian Kelly) in South Bend and that loss also kept Notre Dame (and Brian Kelly) out of the playoffs.

So his assistants preferred to stay at Notre Dame under a young, unproven coach instead of following Kelly to LSU and receiving raises?

That says a lot about Brian Kelly.

One of biggest Notre Dame fan complaints about BK was that he supposedly hired his buddies and yes men for jobs.

Then ironically, when he leaves, they retain both of his coordinators, making one their new head coach. Then they hire another of his buddies as OC last year.

Nope, he is gonna frick LSU. And it only costs $10 million per season.

LSU fans are going to come unhinged after LSU’s third loss this season. Alligators will be thrown.

Well, no.

That math is incorrect, Jay.

Don’t forget about the highest paid assistant in college football. They had to pay him too.

Kelly bolted for the money ! Freeman will to if he continues to have success. Just the way of the future unless ND frees up the money.
