I think Trevor Lawrence missed that game because he had Covid... I may be wrong though.

ND literally owes everything to Brian Kelly. Freeman wouldn’t be able to do what he did without Kelly.
Agreed, what a bunch of ingrates, this ain’t 1993, bro! Y’all were completely irrelevant in the national title discussion when you hired BK to save your program.

Clemson was still #1 in the country and 5 point favorites heading into the game, even without Lawrence.
DJ Uiagalelei threw for 439 yards and 2 TDs and added another on the ground and had zero turnovers.
The game is probably not much different with Lawrence.
To compare to Notre Dame and Freeman's win over UGA in CFP, where UGA was missing QB1 Beck, Notre Dame was favored by 1.5 over UGA.
All of Kelly's big games are big games until he actually wins the game, and then they get written off with some sort of excuse.

I guess Bama is right there with us then.
Is it year 3 already? I didn't think so.

This is the correct answer.
Every game Kelly loses is labeled as a big game after the fact.
The big games he wins (wins over top 10 teams such as Alabama, Missouri) don't qualify as big games after the fact.

Bammers always moving the goalposts.
Face the facts, your guy took over a playoff team with a preseason Heisman finalist and only managed the same record as BK last season.

So, year 3 and year 1 are the same sample size? Math must be hard in LA. How many SEC coaches have been fired after a 3 year sample size?

Face the facts, BAMA is tier 2 under DeBoer so far.
Maybe he brings them back to tier 1, who knows?

Based on last season's azz kicking in Baton Rouge, you better hope not.

If we're going off of head to head matchups, then losing to Vandy and getting your azz kicked by Oklahoma drops Bama several more tiers.
Tier 5 maybe?

It's good for shite talk but at the end of the day, we both had the same record and "tier 2 LSU" faced a tougher schedule with less talent.

It got you living vicariously through Vandy. Kelly was apparentely not up on his SEC history when he left the Golden Domers.
"BAMA Don't Lose in Baton Rouge."

Kelly beat Clemson in the COVID year
Kelly beat Clemson, who was without their starting quarterback, in double overtime 47-40 in the regular season.
In the ACC championship game that same season, the game that mattered, Clemson clapped his cheeks in rematch 34-10.
Notre Dame still made the playoffs. In that game, the second game of the season that really mattered. Notre Dame lost to Alabama 14-31.
Kelly is good for the occasional regular season big win. But he will then shite the bed in the post season, just like he did in his first season at LSU.

Kelly has won every postseason game he has coached at LSU.
3-0 in three seasons.
Crapdalton spewing out crap again.

No one else beat 2020 Alabama and 2022 Georgia either.
Kelly's "postseason problem" seems to be running into teams that really no one can beat.
Perhaps he can luck into a matchup with someone like 2024 Indiana or Penn State soon.
