I am glad you are so satisfied with Kelly. As an opposing fan I am very satisfied with him as well.

I'm not necessarily "satisfied" with him, he underperformed in 2023 for sure. 2025 will determine his tenure at LSU, in my opinion.

The arguments most use vs him don't really hold up when actually researched.

I don't think he gets fired though. 10 years is an albatross of a contract.

I think he'd retire with a settlement before being fired, he's never been fired before and that'd be rough on his ego.

I seriously doubt he finishes out the contract either way.

My God, there has been some dumb posters on this forum, but you are definitely the most idiotic even for an LSU fan. Your mother should be shot for even giving birth to you.

You seem to have completely ignored Kelly’s age. Did we make that up? Kelly is the seventh oldest current head coach and every year makes it less likely he wins a championship.

The fact Freeman got his team to the playoff and beat Georgia in the process is why the ND beat writers are writing such an article. Kelly was good at Notre Dame but when it came time to be great he always folded.

ND literally owes everything to Brian Kelly. Freeman wouldn’t be able to do what he did without Kelly.

Is there a rule that guys over 60 can't win championships?

Forgive stolenvalordalton and his bad faith arguments.

Unrequited lust is the only explanation for his unrelenting obsession with a 63 year old man who would never know or care who the frick he is.

He was also dishonorably discharged from the military for being a bitch. Homeboy got the frick beaten out of him every day and eventually his superiors had enough.

Pity him.

I already addressed that for you. Only two have won their first after age 60 and none have won their first after age 63. That is just a fact.

If Brian Kelly were to win a national championship he would be the first in the modern era to win his first at 64 or older.

So yes, there does appear to be a cosmic rule against it. At this point, the odds are much better that Kelly has a heart attack than of him winning a national championship.

I think it's just a case of the sample size of guys fitting that criteria being extremely small.

If Cignetti were hired by a major program, for instance, I'd see no reason he can't win a title.

Yea because Hugh hookers and blow Freeze has done so much at Auburn. Y’alls football program has been shite for years now. I wouldn’t be making fun of anybody elses coach if I were an Auburn fan.

Your post history regarding the Sugar Bowl displays: (1) You’re white trash; (2) You’re a tool with a sophomoric sense of humor; (3) You were highly confident going into the Notre Dame (predicting, I believe, a 25-point victory; (4) You, obviously, don’t follow and/or know much about football, at all (i.e., Tennessee will mop the floor against the “Suckeyes” — real knee-slapper there, “Darin” —, the “Suckeyes” are overrated, UGA will “prison rape” the Irish, and so forth).

Again, with Notre Dame having approximately 6 starters out (including their All-American DT and CB), many UGA fans were more confident going into the Sugar Bowl without Beck. It’s not like Stockton played poorly either; Notre Dame was just better.

He must have forgotten that BK is no longer the HC there.

Kelly has relegated LSU to the SEC's 2nd tier. He came to Baton Rouge in search of a better situation for winning NCs than Notre Dame. That should have hit Cajun fans like a leap off the Grand Canyon.

"I came to beat ALABAMA," Kelly screamed out. Yeah, that's a formula that has worked for so many SEC teams before him. And then the brutal SEC awaits in turn, brilliant!

IN South Bend, he had the entire schedule to his liking, with an occasional ACC team thrown in for good measure. At the same time, the Playoff Committee is exclusively rewarding lesser conferences and Independents with better records.

Whether we want to admit it or not, the entire SEC has taken a step back. Alabama was obviously going to take a step back with Saban’s departure. Georgia is still good, but not like they were a few years ago. Tennessee has improved, but still not in the elite tier. Florida has been down for some time. LSU hasn’t been elite since 2019. Auburn has struggled under Freeze. Texas is Texas …A&M is Texas 8&4…Oklahoma and Arkansas have been down. South Carolina and Ole Miss can’t turn the corner. Kentucky went 1-7. Hell, the only team that’s really ramped it up is Vanderbilt.

Their beat writers low key dropped an interesting article that really takes some shots at Kelly. Digging into his big game record, and all.

Now I dislike LSU too, but why even make this article? Seems low spirited by ND. Are they after the same recruit or something?

Kelly beat Clemson in the COVID year and OU in the year they made the championship and lost to Bama. Those were big games to them back then. Conveniently not now.

It's one year. People said the same thing in 2014.
