Suck it, Dave. I hope your program gets shut out for future big games.

This move of bailing on the bowl game personifies the primadona entitlement attitude that ND always eschews.

Have a fun off season.

When they make these schedules, its years in advance....so when someone says ND plays a creampuff schedule....its stupid. They dont know what the teams will look like when the year comes around that they play them. Take for example....in 2029...Notre Dame already has Texas, Alabama, Florida State and Clemson on the schedule. When they made these scheduled games...all these teams were bad asses. Who knows what they will look like in 2029? And this goes for all college scheduling....its not like you go year to year....its many years out.

It doesn't matter why you played a weak schedule, it only matters that you did.

Why would they join a conference?

Because they could be completely ignored from a scheduling standpoint. Thrown out of the club.

I believe the Catholics call it being “excommunicated”…

NBC is in the financial toilet. You’re not the big of a draw or asset to them.

Notre Dame's viewer ratings on NBC have declined, averaging about 3.9 million viewers this season, which ranks them 15th among college football teams.

Notre Dame's football games on NBC have seen a decline in viewer ratings compared to other major college football programs. Here are some key statistics:

Comparison with SEC and Big Ten
The SEC and Big Ten teams dominate the viewership landscape. Notre Dame's ratings have not kept pace with these conferences, which consistently draw larger audiences. For example, SEC matchups often exceed 5 million viewers, highlighting the disparity in national appeal.

No one cares about Notre Dame Mr 1988!

You're evaluated by your strength of schedule this year. Not when you scheduled it.

But aggy sos was a joke this year. You played 1 team in the top half of SEC and lost.

That said I’ve been one of the few up here who has defended your schedule all year, on the grounds that there’s not much you can do about it other than play who’s in front of you. You didn’t make the conference schedule, and other than scheduling an FCS team at least you had ND.

I understand ND is different because they’re independent, but they have traditional rivals, scheduled you guys, and have a a scheduling agreement with the ACC. So again just like Aggy couldn’t control that the SEC teams they played would suck, neither could they control how much the ACC teams on their schedule will suck.

ND schedule strategy is to feast on teams ranked 40-80.

LSU has 5 loses, each of those teams in in the top15. ND can’t relate, they never will. Our regular season is ND’s playoff/bowl opponents.

Fvck ND and their sense of entitlement that they should get special treatment.

Op is the dickhead who came on this forum to brag that ND would skulldrag the Aggies in the CFP.

Op, your team needs to be good enough to be IN the playoff before they are allowed to PLAY in the CFP.

As bad or as soft as our schedule was this year in the SEC, it was still a stronger rated schedule than ND's. I'm not sure what the argument/confusion is here.

No confusion, the argument though is that your piling on to ND for not having a tougher schedule, when you guys don’t have a tougher schedule for exactly the same reason, factors out of your control.

Dude, with exception of OOC, Aggies play the schedule the league gives them. We played an SEC west schedule for years and never complained.

Dude, frick off. Notre Dame didn’t beat any team with an actual pulse this year.

You compare to A&M, yes, it was a softer SEC a than normal, but still stronger than Notre Dames. AND A&M beat y’all. Play an SEC schedule, you are at least a 3 loss team.

I’m sorry, but Notre Dame didn’t do enough this year to make it in. Boo hoo. Absolutely nobody gives a frick. It’s not a crime against humanity. It’s not a miscarriage of Justice.

Join a conference. You can destroy the big 12 like Tech is and make it every year. We know damn well ND won’t join the SEC (not a good fit anyway) or even the Big10.

That’s true for everybody.

Just wait until 2029 when people complain about who didn’t play whom in the SEC that year giving them an easier schedule!

Notre Dame's first two opponents of 2030?.....Indiana and Alabama......creampuff?....but maybe they are when 2030 rolls around.

Alabama will be dropping someone. Multiple power 4 teams on the schedule each year through 2034. Currently has Georgia Tech and Notre Dame in 2030.

Notre Dame and Indiana agreed to a future home-and-home football series in April 2021, scheduling games for August 31, 2030, at Notre Dame and September 27, 2031, in Bloomington, marking the first time they'll play in Bloomington since 1950 and renewing their rare rivalry. The last actual game played was in 1991, but the deal for future games was inked in 2021.
