Nice. Classy guy unlike their FB coach. Although Brey is a good guy for hoops as well.

quote:They should look at him, but he's got a pretty good situation at Notre Dame. As I understand it, they just recently adopted a scholarship program like Vandy, so Jarrett is the first ND coach getting to recruit with that advantage. They are in a good baseball conference, which does a lot to offset their crappy location. I look for them to do very well over the foreseeable future.
How is this guy not getting a look from Lsu?

quote:You obviously aren't familiar with Al McGuire and his Marquette teams. He recruited ghetto kids, and they called their style of play ghetto ball...and they looked and acted the part. Here's some of McGuire's quotes:
quote:
Marquette was in one of them, and you'd have thought the "ghetto" had showed up in town!
Say what?
"My rule was I wouldn’t recruit a kid if he had grass in front of his house. That’s not my world. My world has a cracked sidewalk."
"I’m not saying that they were Einsteins; they were marginal students. But every ballplayer whoever touched me has moved up his station in life. And the players moved up my station."
Hell, he once told his kids, "You guys drink on the East side of Milwaukee, and I'll drink on the West side."

You're quoting someone from a fanbase that mostly believes Trump won the election and whose school they totally went to has segregated Greek Life, so always expect the worst.
You don't have the slightest clue about the old Marquette teams under Al McGuire. They prided themselves in playing "ghetto ball" as they called it...and they played the part off the court, too.
Let's not get all self righteous, and arrogant with just a couple of dozen posts under your belt, my woke little brotha! You, your BLM and your cancel culture can kiss this .

Would love to have him. The only concern would be whether he would bounce when Florida State comes calling, but that is not a reason not to hire him.

He would be a fool to leave LSU if he got the job, and I am a FSU alum. But even if he did, I bet he would leave Tiger Town in better shape than he found it!

awesome. if i got one from that football coach i would throw it away. too many people told me of him sending a kid up a filming station in a storm and was killed. i was also told the kid was fearful.

How is your former Tallahassee mayor doing these days? Tells about the people that elected that POS.
