That was a really fun series to watch. Great comeback by State in Game 1 or else they could be headed to Omaha.

I think Notre Dame should have been a top 8 national seed.

You mean Coach O? The guy who coached the best team in college football history to a 15-0 national championship just two years ago? That coach O?

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. You should see interviews with this guy, he is smart as hell. somebody is gonna try going after him. Now , I don’t know how much Notre Dame cares about baseball and are willing to pay to keep him.

One of the top hitting teams in the country, one of the top defensive teams (and boy were they fking good) in the country and a solid arse pitching team (but we finally got deep into their bullpen game 3.

He does everything right. I’m damn glad he’s not at an Sec team. Would be difficult to beat.

Found this interesting tidbit. Think about this , this is what Notre Dame said when they hired him in July ,2019. BEFORE he turned Notre Dame into an offensive beast!!

Notre Dame hires Link Jarrett as head baseball coach

After a national search, Notre Dame has a new head baseball coach. Irish athletic director Jack Swarbrick announced the hiring of Link Jarrett as the 21st head coach in Notre Dame baseball program’s history on Friday.

Prior to his hiring with Notre Dame, Jarrett spent the past seven years as the head baseball coach at UNC Greensboro, where he was twice named the Southern Conference Coach of the Year and led the UNC Greensboro Spartans to three consecutive seasons of 36 wins.

Jarrett had stops as an assistant coach at Mercer, Florida State (his alama mater), East Carolina and Auburn and has made a name for himself as a hitting guru. At every stop, Jarrett has facilitated a spike in offensive numbers and Irish fans hope he can bring that track

They actually have pretty much always been that way. Their basketball teams played in several NCAA regionals in Tuscaloosa back in the 70s and 80s. They came in the door with coats and ties on, said "yes sir" and "no sir" to people, and were a very polite group of people (Marquette was in one of them, and you'd have thought the "ghetto" had showed up in town!).
Notre Dame runs a classy athletic program, as they do the rest of their school....and I'm not Catholic!

He should be the Head Coach at FSU right now. But FSU hired Jr. Nepotism still alive and well in Tallahassee.

The RPI really screwed the ACC but some of that was self-inflicted due to a) scheduling fewer games and b) some circle-of-suck action within the conference.

After seeing zillions of strike outs led by the main recruiter and former hitting coach...yea maybe

You're quoting someone from a fanbase that mostly believes Trump won the election and whose school they totally went to has segregated Greek Life, so always expect the worst.

They probably play 90% of their games on plastic. I would imagine playing on grass and dirt played into their errors.
